@@KateEveling Carbohydrates can fuel anxiety in several ways, especially for individuals who are sensitive to blood sugar fluctuations: 1. Blood Sugar Spikes and Crashes: When you consume carbs, especially refined ones (like sugar or white bread), they can cause a rapid increase in blood sugar levels. This spike is followed by a crash, which can lead to feelings of jitteriness, irritability, or anxiety as the body tries to stabilize its blood sugar levels. 2. Insulin Response: Carbs stimulate the release of insulin, which helps cells absorb glucose. In some people, a large insulin response can lead to low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), which is often associated with symptoms like shakiness, confusion, and increased anxiety. 3. Inflammation: Some studies suggest that high-carb diets, particularly those rich in refined carbohydrates, may promote inflammation in the body, and chronic inflammation is linked to mood disorders like anxiety and depression. 4. Gut-Brain Axis: Carbs, especially those high in sugar, can affect the gut microbiome. A disrupted gut microbiome has been associated with an increased risk of anxiety and depression due to the gut-brain connection. Reducing carbs, particularly refined ones, can help stabilize blood sugar and potentially reduce anxiety.

@@KateEveling i am dealing with my heart condition needing scan done like 🍩 one and mri scan some point in years come i will need pulmonary valve replacement done on my leaking or if i dont it would ever right sided heart failure so i dont know if open heart surgery or keyhole surgery i will let you know what it is love you kate and how is your cystic fibrosis be and your lungs too
