Next time you come here, check out areas up in the hills like Kalamunda, Mundaring Weir - especially if you're coming in winter, it's particularly beautiful in the hills in winter. Also in spring Araluen Botanical Gardens is amazing. I particularly like doing hikes like Kalamunda to Mundaring weir on the Bibbulmun Track - then you get to see what Australia is really about.

"City of Perth" Oh, right now it's summer in Southern hemisphere. I feel and enjoy a calm time in a relaxed atmosphere. Somehow or another, this place brings back memories. Perth is a place based around the beach and river and the excellent weather, though can be a bit hot at times (and a wet winter). I think you should base a holiday in Perth around that. Venues to go in order? Kings park, beaches (Cottesloe/City beach/Scarborough), Rottnest, Fremantle, Swan river (bike ride or river cruise up river down river), Hillarys boat harbour (sorrento / Aqwa), football or cricket at Optus Stadium... Really there are incredibly quiet and isolated places along the riverfront, especially east of Perth. Incredibly you're only 10-15km from CBD. Kangaroos in heirreson island in central perth. Caversham wildlife park, Perth zoo (ferry across river). Then if you leave Perth go south to Bunbury/Busselton (holiday town)/Margaret river and the whole south west with incredible ocean scenery forests and wineries. Further south to Albany and you go past rugged ocean scenery, massive forests etc... Then north you have to travel further but 6 hours to Kalbarri and 10 hours to Shark Bay. Quite unique.

@@ImShizuka yes you've got to enjoy doing outside stuff in perth really. around beach, river and open space. As you go further away from perth, the enjoyment of space, quietness and being isolated is quite attractive. Don't waste time in Perth going shopping etc. Inner city is attractive and there are excellent shopping centres at Karrinyup, Carousel and less so Garden City. But for me it really is a waste of time.

Next time you come to Perth, plan a trip to Rottnest Island to experience the quokka 😀but be aware, summertime on that island has flies, LOTS of them!

​@@ImShizuka You can get by - but you'd be wearing a bug net over your hat. It's really nice. The boat ride there is mostly OK, but when I went there a few years back the journey back showed me how green my complexion was when seasick. Yes, seasick medication is a must! Perth life isn't too bad, especially if you are willing to do a meet and greet. Foodie culture is part of the psyche here anyway, as you noticed with all those food trucks at Scarbs. @@ImShizuka The best way to do rottnest is by bicycle but they also have a bus that goes around the island. YOu can rent bicycles from the ferry company. You used to be able to rent bicycles on the island but if you rent when you get there you might not get a bicycle. The hills can be a bit long on the island but I have heard you can now rent electric bicycles (perfect!) although Im not sure where you can rent them. Make sure you get a bike lock too if you rent a bike. Im glad you enjoyed Perth. Two other nice spots are Menz street South Perth. You just get the ferry across the river from elizabeth quay. Theres lots of cafes and restaurants on the waterside on the other side and its the best view of the city skyline. Also the university of western australia in crawley is regarded as the most beautiful university in Australia. It is on the riverside at matilda bay. There is a nice cafe on the waterside and you can usually see black swans there (you can swim there too if you want). There are historic buildings and gardens in the university.

Thank you for watching! I went on vacation to Perth and never lived in Australia so I’m not sure about the cost of living there🥲 One of my friends who had lived there for a while told me that Perth was a little cheaper than other big cities though😳

Perth is cheaper than Melbourne or Sydney, but after covid and the Ukraine war prices have gone up a lot. Around 30% more than in 2019.

Hi! I didn’t spend a lot of money actually:) Accommodation for 3 nights was $100 since I was staying at a hostel, not a hotel. I spent about $25 for transportation but you can save up money if using CAT buses. And about $120 for food and drinks! Hope this helps✨

Thanks for watching!! I stayed at this hostel called Hostel G and it was okay! I've heard lots of good things about a hostel "Spinner Backpackers" so I'll probably stay there next time I visit Perth!!
