Im really experiences in the game, been here since pt1 but i still really want to know your oppinion on ranger skills. For example i think shotgun and the quickfire serve similar purposes Qf lets you fire more arrows in a shorter amount of time but is really only effective of you have a full "magazine" as its duration is wasted on reload time. Shotgun doesnt let you shoot faster but does let you keep shooting for longer via a instant 5 arrow reload. Then shotty has the obv use of shotgun and qf has a faster weapon swap once active etc. Backstep and shotgun also compete against eachother as the cqc option. Quickfire and quickshot compete for quick burst smg over range but qs is easier ti get 2 hits in while ppl often duck to cover on hearing the qf sound or after that first hit Basically ranger abilities seem to compete and overlap so id love some perspective

i used to like the shotgun skill a lot but after using it for a while i noticed that sometimes the arrows can lag and go through the enemy, and if you miss the shot or they tank it, you are left very vulnerable. so even though i think shotgun is a great skill, the inconsistencies make it not worth it for me but if you are playing duo/trio then i think the skill is good.

@vincennt7 ye i rarely actually opt to shotgun someone. But shooting 1 "mag" of arrows faster with qf, or being able to shoot 10 continually due to instant reload is still pretty good. Qf is great for switching to spear for backstep spear hits though. Qf and shotgun makes for a really fast onetap too if you are confident enough to try it.
