Solo Warlock vs Ghost King

well played. I thought at first you would get bricked by the pools on the ground but this taught me that they dissipate over time. do you have a good amount of additional magic damage on gear?

Not a whole lot, I try to sit around 45-60% bonus magic damage. Found that by using self heal on hydra I can sit through the suck phase and smack him with my halberd

Does the shield still work if all of his attacks are True magic damage? Also, why Hydra over Hellfire?

I survived a 10 stack scream so it must be doing something. Or it at least gives me false hope

Also, since the video I've been putting hydra down, self healing off of it and using my halberd to damage him during the suck phase instead of running away, significantly speeding up the fight.

It definitely works on the scream. Covert has a video up about it where we discover the tech. And if it works on the scream I would def think it works on all other abilities that do true magic.

u cant heal from ghost king now if he has shield, right? so it doesnt possible to dmg though suck? or i dont understand sht?=) @@pivvy

@user-rf4sb7vz4l this was pre some buffs to his heal during suck. It is possible to melee damage him during the suck but not magic damage. I would heal off of hydra while hitting with halberd. Not sure if it is possible to follow the same strategy these days though

only difference for HR is having to make sure you kill the bats before they mass charge you
