This seems to be a guaranteed drop at tier 7, although there have been a few reports that it hasn't been guaranteed for a few people (I haven't seen any video proof though). Additionally, people have reported it dropping from tier 5, but i haven't seen any proof of that either.
I also tested 4 Deep Dives before doing this one: 2x Tier 1 Deep Dives, and 2x Tier 3 Deep Dives (both with a Pressure Trial), none of which gave the Exotic Catalyst. While there's still a chance lower tiers could be up to RNG (as 4 runs from one person is a small sample size), I wanted to try and do some testing that it wasn't available from other tier levels before just completing the Tier 7 and getting the catalyst. A lot of people were very hasty and rushed to post that it was guaranteed by a tier 7 only - and while that turned out to be the case, there was nowhere near enough time to properly test that it couldn't come from other sources first. So I wanted to at least test a bit before making any conclusions.
Outside of that, it's a lot easier this week for the most part, as Attrition is a great modifier and helps with healing on a setup like this. I wiped on the boss fight as I didn't realise the Ogre could shoot through the floor when underneath them, and it caught me off guard. So I just cut that out. Boss fight was also painfully slow, as I didn't want to wipe again.

This appears to be a guaranteed drop from tier 7, although there are a few reports of people not getting it from tier 7. I tested 4 other runs at lower tiers, and none of them dropped it. That's too small of a sample size to draw conclusions from, but as far as anyone can tell, it's almost guaranteed at tier 7, and doesn't seem to drop from lower tiers.

Ran two separate times with two other folks. First was tier 5, one of us got it. Second was tier 7, the other two of us got it. The answers are very elusive as to what's right and what's wrong.

Great run Eso, grabbed mine earlier this week and damn the catalyst is pretty sh*t.. Been a while since ive run Deep Dives and had Fallen as the final tier, I got Hive on my run and theyre way more of a pain in the ass. I like the rng/Rogue aspects, hopefully they try to expand on it in the future.

In case you haven't seen the recent update, the new catalyst is Headstone, which makes it much more smooth and worth while. 👍 Like you said, though, I'm hoping there's more rogue-like aspects as well, since something like this was interesting to discover.

It's in your controller/keyboard settings. Set one button as uncharged melee, and one to charged melee. Also unbind regular melee.

@@okami9282 If you set your charged melee and uncharged melee to the same key, it will use charged melee if it's available in favour of uncharged. Unbind Auto Melee, as it doesn't seem to do what it says on the tin.

So with this thing you’re now gonna be able to not only activate chill clip on a PRIMARY causing lots of explosive damage, but also fire the weapon infinitely without having to reload as long as you get headshots. And people are still gonna say it’s trash because the meta exotics exist.
