Once you have a little more winter camping experience and get the right gear, there are amazing winter camping adventures to be had in Northern B.C. and Northern Alberta. Including overnight Icefishing if you're into that sorta thing. 🙂 🔥

I noticed you were chopping for kindling for a fire starter. Have you heard of battoning? Its when you hit the blade of the knife down on the perpendicular piece of wood. You hit the blade with another piece of wood on the knife blade. It's hard to explain. Check it out on KZbin.

The parking lot is pretty close by if I needed to make multiple trips. Most of the gear I brought is the same stuff I would bring backpacking, I would just be carrying it in a proper pack if so

Agreed. As someone that Winter backpacks this is a bit on the heavy side. However, she has her car right there and she is trying out her gear. I'm sure she will add some and lose some gear for an actual backpack.
