I almost always move at least once whenever I camp for more than a single night. Smoke, barking dogs, screeching kids, obnoxious music or television ... we live in a country filled with self-absorbed and / or inconsiderate people that all seem to love NOISE!!

I highly recommend heading west to higher elevations. I don't know if you are working on the road but there is a lot of free camping out west and generally decent cell service unless you are way back in a wilderness area. Plus the weather is way more tolerable in summer. Love the content. Come on folks. Give this sweet lady a new sub and thumbs up. She is cool as hell.

if you go west you have to get your brakes looked at first..... then you must use your engine as a brake using your low gears...you put the car in low gear as you go down and let the engine slow you as opposed to the brakes.

I recently hit the road from Florida to North Carolina . I Slept at planet fitness , Cracker Barrel and campgrounds near Boone. There is so much nature , greenery and the people were super friendly. Hope to return in the fall to see the foliage. Getting very tired of the heat and humidity here in Broward county,

I sleep in my hybrid Prius often. You can set the temperature you want and the AC runs mostly off the battery with the motor automatically turning on to charge the battery. It uses hardly any gas and it's so quiet I don't notice the motor turning on at night. I'm getting a hybrid rav 4 woodland next, because I need the ground clearance to get off road for privacy. If you buy the Woodland Rav 4 hybrid, it has a regular 120 ac plug so you can plug regular household devices in, like heaters, refrigerators, lamps, hair dryers, etc. Love your channel! 💜

@zap... 11 ай бұрын
I travel and camp in a Prius too. I travel to different places all around the states and Canada to go mountain biking. The ability to use the AC if too hot and humid is a life saver and reduces stress. I've also looked at the Woodland RAV4 hybrid for the awd and clearance for light off road use and driving in snow. The ability to use120v is really nice too. Hybrids have some nice advantages for traveling/camping /living in. I've been at noisy and smokey camping locations and I just roll up the windows and turn on the Prius and set the AC to a comfortable setting and settled in for the night. Make sure you use the cabin recirculating mode for the AC so it's not pulling air from outside. Works great. Just make sure you have at least 1/4 tank of gas. It doesn't use much gas at all but you want to make sure you don't run out. My Prius gas motor kicks on every 10 minutes for about 45 seconds with the AC set to 70 degrees. So the gas motor is running for less than and hour over an 8 hour course of AC use. You can use heat settings in the winter time and it works in a similar manner.

If you have the room and the budget a small compressor fridge would be much more suitable for your application. They are way more efficient than the cheap 12V coolers and even with a modest sized portable power station like the Jackery you can run them for way longer before needing to recharge the power station. If you are driving then it will probably just need to be topped up. A portable solar panel would also be a good solution. Another great video and a sub from me 🙂

Good morning Young Lady, Miss Alisa I miss Savannah and lots of Georgia back roads. While stationed in Georgia I was pulled over by a motorcycle officer who told me to meet him in a parking lot after he got off his shift. I was 21 and had been riding since I was nearly 14 but he taught me how to handle my motorcycles better. He admired my 65 Panhead Electra Glide and we became friends which led to becoming part of his family and learning so much of the Savannah area. When you drove past the old slave sales area all I could think of were the great Mom & Pop restaurants in that area. Lordy I sure do miss those days. I tell you that because even as I traveled the country years later by motorcycle I never let noisy people disturb me. Either we became friendly after I asked them to quiet down or they knew they'd pissed me off and stayed quiet anyway. I am not a big person and since I was blown up I never have regained weight or size. None of that matters when you get out of self and approach people. As a single Dad I miss all the noises my children used to make and my grandchildren have grown out of. BLM lands are where I try to camp but occasionally I go to "biker friendly" campgrounds but as a sober recovering alcoholic these to could potential places of being disturbed if I allow it. I watched your (car organization) video also this morning and I have to say I am impressed! I carry a screened room in my camper for relaxing away from bugs and out of my camper. On the new tent I made for bike camping I have sewn flaps on the sides under an awning for relaxing or working on my bike out of the weather. Someone mentioned carrying a tool roll but unless you wrench and repair like me that would be a waste. Please keep your cooler, whether you use it now or not it will pay for itself just in it's built in abilities. Sometimes we have to spend more to have quality that will last and do it's job to keep us safe and happy. Wishing you safe and enjoyable travels, you are in my prayers Hoka Hey

I recently discovered your channel and I'm enjoying your videos. I live in Canada and I am a retired Engineer who worked as a Project Manager in the Petrochemical and IT industries. I retired in 2018 qand my wife and I purchased a new truck and trailer. We thought that it would be great to travel and see more of the US and Canada, but the quality of the trailer was a bit disappointing and it proved difficult at times trying to book fully serviced campsites. Towing a trailer around was a big inconvenience as well. After a few years, and when Covid arrived, we decided to sell our truck and trailer and luckily we got almost all of our money back. We had a Honda CR-V and we decided to use it for car camping. Actually, it worked out quite well. We didn't actually use many of the features of the trailer, so as long as we had a comfortable bed in the vehicle, we could use our Jackery for power. It wasn't too difficult to find a campsites with good showers and toilet facilities and we didn't need to carry a lot in order to do a little bit of cooking. We purchased a Coleman Instant tent that is very easy to set up and all of this is working really well for us. I was a bit sad when I sold the truck and trailer, but looking back I am convinced that it was the right decision. It allowed us to sort out our needs from our wants and it is very easy for us to get out and enjoy life with a minimal amount of effort.

Get a fan for some white noise as well as a bit of moving air. Get a small DC fridge instead of a piezo electric cooler. It will run for over 24 hours without a charge on a 500 watt DC power pac. We have an 18 liter one. We love the water district campgrounds in Florida . Savanna is nice but we like Charleston better. There is nice camping in the National Forest north of town.

You have to be on your guard even in nature. I have read horror stories of people camping in nature and some even in their vehicles and they are attacked or worse. Stay safe - stay alert - always have protection with you. Trust no one. There are good places to eat on River Street in Savannah - but I wouldn't eat there at night by myself. I went to school in Savannah every year for 2-4 weeks at a time for 9 years. I like Savannah but stay alert.

I don't know if you know this, but any major truck stop, for around $10 or less you can get a shower. They usually don't ask for who you're driving for, but if they do just remember any truck name you saw it the lot. You can sleep in the car lot. Just find a little cubby hole and you won't even hear the trucks. The store usually has some fruits, sandwiches, and sweet goodies. Trucker health food lol. Their resturaunts are usually costly.

My car being a hybrid Rav 4 makes it really nice because at night.Time if it's really hot out I would leav a/c on as it runs on Electricity and engine starts automaticly to charge battery 8 min evers 45min or so @ 68 deggres. This used next too no fuel and is not to disturbing to sleep with! (My fuel usage for last 30k is @ 41mpg ) . My travel are alot of backcontry as I mountainbike alot so car is also all wheel drive which is amazing! I installed a level system and have cloth slide out on one side and 7 gallon fresh water on other as my set up is a Queen size bed or so.😊

I feelya on the campgrounds.. to much humanity! My hometown Jville has a lot of interesting places but I really like Savanna, not so much the waterwalk or downtown but outlying areas and there are some great regional places to eat especially if you like bbq or shrimp

Don't go anywhere near NYC or even the northeast. You will be 20 times more stressed out from the places you experienced in this video.

Can you elaborate? Is that because of crime in NYC and in northeast, or other reasons?

Yes you really are..............and talented at "organizing" your life in the way you can do all the traveling you do. Planning ahead makes all the difference. You are an "empath" and have the ability to do all.

Best to pay and stay at organized campground resorts if touring major cities. They might even have shuttle buses or nearby transit that can take you downtown to historic sights etc. The make up that expense by saving more of your stealth camping for the countryside, especially if free or low cost state campgrounds or BLM land. More restful and less stress.
