Hats off to you my friend! Ive been bowhunting Axis for most of my career spot and stalks style and its tuff! To get a big buck is tuff enough, but to get it on video solo action....Hats off!!!! Congrats brother!!!!

I love this style of hunting. I call it Stalk and Ambush. I started exclusively hunting like this about 4 years ago and it does work. I love it because of how much you learn about deer habits, mannerisms, and how they react to different types of encounters. If it weren't for Solo Hunters I might never have believed this style of hunting would work so well. Thanks guys.

Man I knew everything sounded so familiar. Had KZbin on the TV playing video after video and stopped on this one. Hope you had a great time on my home land. Next time try and get on some pigs, or go diving for prawns. How'd you like the local food there?

Binging on SOLO HNTR on Christmas Day!!! Loving it. Looked like a very challenging hunt, great job Remi. How tasty was the meat off that deer?
@jessestiefel60258 жыл бұрын
Hunted them a few times on Molokai when I lived on Oahu. Best game meat IMO & that is a big bodied axis! Thanks for bringing back memories of paradise.

Jesse Stiefel did you hunt public land? I would love to do that hunt
@jessestiefel60258 жыл бұрын
Zackary Boothe nah, I hunted above one of the subdivisions that owned additional acres on the mountain above the houses. Owners within the division had access to the land. I know other guys who hunt the ranch in the west side of island. If you don't know someone on island, I would suggest paying small fee for access. The public land I know of is heavy timber.

Remi, living in Texas I have shot several axis with bow on camera solo but my filming is quite simple compared to your spot and stalk. Always great stuff from you. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Remi. loved the vid as always. A trophy axis deer is the last one I need to get the Australian grand slam of deer . When are you going to visit this gr8 country and try for a free range sambar , hog deer , rusa , red , chital (axis) or fallow . There is also gr8 pig and water buffalo hunting up north

Got the opportunity to hunt one last December my brother took one and sadly my equipment wasn't up to it but the meat is amazing and these animals are jaw dropping if you get close enough and at the right times these deer are very vocal. What a sight man good hunting keep it up

@5:53 you can hear chukar, then a peacock just a few seconds after, pretty cool! Is this public or private land?
@RealRadNek7 жыл бұрын
Incredibly good ear. Went back to listen. I have shot many chukar in the Southern Cal desert mountains when I use to live there but never would have thought chukar would be in the rain soaked islands of Hawaii. Now living in Texas, I have shot several Axis with my bow on our place but we have no chukar. Maybe I should let some go.

I was thinking going from my 5-pin to the black gold single pin verdict---i believe you are using one this year---were you happy with results? If you want to see a beautiful bull i harvested this year --no cow call or bugle --just good old stalking---I use to teach in Ashland-MT I have some ranching friends in that area still--now I teach and live Wyoming ---less people more wildlife.
