THIS! is how i played my first mage back in vanilla. Constantly tried to kill stuff much higher lvl than me with kiting etc. The most fun i ever had in video games. Soloing mobs 5 lvls higher than myself around theramore. i was shit at the game obviously, but it was the most fun ever :)

That was part of the experience back then. I remember being shit on my hunter but had so much fun trying to kite high level mobs or trying to kill multiple ones. Finally figuring it out was so much fun. I didn’t even care about hitting max level

I have to erase the myth about pets.: First. Mages dont have a pet, but on the other hand they have NO DR on slows, very few misses on fast level 1 fast frostbolt ( the slow effect seem to not miss (bug?)..SHATTER, polymorf, blink. frostnova, shields..iceblock ( dont reset fights) etc etc..etc.. The amount of cc and dps is huge. Image a hunter with a random root that procc so often like shatter.. Mages are to me the easiest class on HC mode.. Easier than hunter in my opinion.. Hunter have a pet. Send the pet and youll see what happens with it., Everyone knows that hunter rely on kiting with 3 abilities (concussion, autoshots, aspect, ) Warlock my main: Void is there for the shield. Warlocks, they rely on fear+dots, (if you can fear it, you can kill it ) and the same as hunters, they DONT rely on the pet against elites..

Great content, I really enjoyed it. That being said Mages are arguably the easiest class in HC WoW. Sheep at level 10? Frost armor can proct a slow. Frost Nova for AOE CC/slow. Portal which can put out before combat and used while in combat. All of that and still in trouble?............Ice Block and Blink to safety. I'm rolling a Mage, a Warrior, a Hunter and a Priest. Priest is the hardest, Warrior is next in line in difficulty. Hunter class is so forgiving but not as forgiving as a Mage. Oh you messed up? sheep or frost nova and blink away to safety.

He's playing it up for the camera. Dude never had worries about mana. You have your first bar. You have mana pot. You have mana gems and you have Evocation. Running out of mana on one elite is preposterous.

Do people really do the math? Estimate their own average dps vs an enemy's health to rough out a TTK and then use that to estimate the amount of incoming dps they can survive taking their own health and defensive options into account

Dude after you hit 60 on the mage you should try leveling a warrior...so much easier man, once u get retaliation it's gg, you can probably solo Mukla at 20, lol, weapon swings can't be resisted ftw.

its possible but if King Mukla catches up to you he can global you because of the Thrashing attacks. He'll attack you 4-5 times "at once" and if those crit you go byebye in the blink of an eye.

People are only back into Hardcore WoW Classic because it's the layover between patches + D4 comes out. Trust and believe Xar is milking this content. Not saying he is dumb for doing it, if I went from a small viewer base to 10k, I'd ride the lightning and stream everyday. It's smart, but jesus the titles and thumbnails are just so clickbait. The banter got old with him and Pikaboo doing the same thing for years. Now he has found a different method.
