Solomon Islands - Imagination Island Resort and Dive Gizo

Wonderful two weeks stay in the Solomon Islands. We were scheduled to stay on a scuba diving liveaboard, but that got cancelled. No worries, as there are plenty of beautiful islands to visit. We flew into Honiara and spent a couple of days at the remote Parangiju Mountain Lodge. This place has basic accommodations with gorgeous mountain views. We hiked to Tenaru Waterfalls from the lodge, which was worth the 2000+ steps hike each way
Our next stop was the remote and isolated
Imagination Island Coral Reef Resort. The entire island was smaller than a football field with our cabin overlooking the beautiful Solomon Sea. The island is home to hundreds of birds, including family ducks and a friendly Cardinal Lorey.
We spent many days scuba diving with Dive Gizo. They'd pick us up by boat each morning and we'd spend the day with them diving. In between dives, we'd enjoy lunch on a different secluded island. Unfortunately my faithful GoPro 8 flooded on the very first dive. I think I got a little too complacent with how durable they are. I was hoping to upgrade, but not until after Solomon, Fiji and Tonga.
Our 🧭 compass now points South to the beautiful Fiji Islands for more secluded beaches and scuba diving.
