I have always loved this story ever since I first heard it as a child. Years later, I was asked, "If you were given 3 wishes of anything you would want, what would they be?" My answer has always been, "I would first ask for wisdom so as to help me be truly wise when it comes to the last 2 wishes." 😇

@Larry Land From personal experience and especially this last year as I struggled to survive from stage3 breast cancer, cellulitis that hospitalized me 2x's on IV antibiotics & 24/7 @ home IV antibiotics just to make it to my mastectomy, while simultaneously dealing with a DVT and, surprisingly enough, a kidney stone, 30 treatments, 6 weeks of radiation along with 29 previous surgeries, a number of untold proceedures, tests, x-rays, cat scans, MRI'S, different organs in my body shutting down then, spontaneously coming back, along with, previous to the cancerland trip, dying 2x's, once at 11yrs & 52yrs, having my 'gate' interview with Christ, then being sent back, he was with me after I had spent the weekend with chemo incontinence of both bowel and bladder, I was finally able to make it to my oncologist. I was so weak as the dry heaving was unrelenting. I cried out to Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, to please help me. A moment later, I felt a large, warm hand pick up mine, and I heard the sweetest calm voice whisper, "Just a little longer, and you will feel much better very soon." And I did. The next afternoon, lying in my bed, curled up around the severe pain no pill would get rid of, or even ease the pain, I prayed again, asking for Jesus to come again. At that moment, I felt him sit beside me. Softly, stroking my arm in a soothing motion, I heard him softly whisper to my body, "Peace...be still." The pain stopped its twisting of my intestines, the dry heaving and chemo cough stopped, and my body was stilled and at peace. Later on today, I go to the hospital to the ICU, where my daughters is on life support because she had a cardiac arrest while fighting sepsis. They intubated her, got her stable, and airlifted her to a stage1 ICU. We must decide whether or not to stop life support to let her go peacefully, or allow her a few more days of treatment, giving her a fighting chance to live. Will Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit be there for her? You bet they will be. You can 'try' Christ yourself by simply asking him if he truly exists. If you ask with a sincere heart, believing in the possibility of his exsistance he will answer you in a way you personally will understand. I prefer A God drivin, divine plan for the creation of this world, and the universe around us. Regardless of whether or not you believe in either 3 of their exsistance, upon your death you will be greeted at the gate to the afterlife by Jesus Christ himself. He is calm, comforting and supportive, oh, he communicates on a mind to mind conversation. Painless and much easier for understanding to happrn. Cool, huh?! The question of wheter or not you go to Spirit paradise or spirit prison is based on your gte interview. After the joint viewing of your life, in the end, you will already know what the decision will be. Because your Spirit is a divine creation, once out of your mortal body, you know eternal truth, so you end up judging yourself by that law. You can't hide from the divine, and you can't hide from you yourself. I wish you safe journeys while on earth and a good gate interview!! It's up to you how your story ends!!😇

@Larry Land I know, but it's always good to be told. I feel warm fuzziness surround me, filling my heart with divine love!😇
@marywilliams58742 жыл бұрын
@D Sullivan I call it a 'Gate interview,' For fun and simplification. Actually, it is our Savior Jesus Christ, who meets us at the gates to paradise. In the scriptures, he says he employs no one for this sacred duty. He died for us. It is his right and privilege to meet each of us at the gate to Spirit Peace or Spirit Prison. Those who chose to do good and repent of their wrong choices are welcomed into paradise. Those who have continually ignored the prompting of the Holy Ghost to do good, are sent to Spirit Prison. The interesting thing about meeting Christ at the gate is your life review. You repeat your life and choices in a flash, He is with you all through the experience as if He was you, feeling, seeing, being a part of you. Once that is over He doesn't tell you that yo have chosen the worst place to go based on their actions while on earth. We all were born with the Light of Christ. It tells us when something is good or bad. Our Spirit, the intelligence that is you is made up of truth and light. You innately know the eternal rules that govern heaven. You KNOW and understand why you can't have peace during the in-between of Spirit life and, then resurrection, which is the reuniting of body and soul making you immortal. Free of pain and disease. Read Ezekiel, in the old Testament. He tells it like it is and explains how the ressurection will happen. While going through all that I did, I did so alone. My girlfriend would drive me in for infusion day. After that, whatever doctors appointments I mayhap it was up to me to get there. Jesus Christ has become a constant companion and helping me get through all my trials. I told my kids, if you don't have an answer to what you are struggling with. Go pray about it. You will find answers. You can even try reading, The Book Of Mormon. It is another testimoment of Jesus Christ. In the most basic terms you are taught about faith, prayer, how to live your life righteously. Pray about what you have read and if you have a problem call upon Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ what you need from him and see what happens. God bless you.😇

While we don’t know much about her, other than her love for the king, there are a couple of very interesting verses that stand out: “I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother’s children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.” - Song of Solomon 1:5-6 Twice, Solomon’s lover tells us she is black, and she does so while making sure that we understand that’s it not a metaphor or a feeling: Black as the tents of Kedar Black as the tents of Solomon Black because of the sun While we are not told here lineage, we do know that she was either a Hebrew descendant of Shem, or an African descendant of Ham. This is based on the location of Israel (in Canaan), and the fact that they lived side by side with several Canaanite tribes.

" If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Like all Biblical Stories, this simple tale teaches several important things about humanity. The Wisdom of Solomon is a parable of how to exercise sound judgement carefully and with great thought which can only be achieved through great self-awareness. Because Solomon understood his own nature so well he also understood that of his people. He knew that only the real mother would sacrifice her child to another rather than see it slain because that's what he would have done himself as would any loving parent. Whether this insight is God-given only the faithful can proclaim with any sense of certainty. I choose to believe that his great wisdom was born out of deeply personal experiences and a love for the truth. Either way, it is a beautiful tale and very instructive, which to me is the sole purpose of reading the Bible.

@hannahfriedly64845 жыл бұрын
alegradance Exactly. Solomon fell into the temptation of worldly things and was only filled with his love for his 700+ wives and concubines, his horses and chariots, and his talents of gold. It was even foreshadowed in Deuteronomy that a king isn't good if he falls into the love for these exact three things
@hannahfriedly64845 жыл бұрын
And he also built shrines for other gods out of gold which is a parallel to the golden calf episode in exodus :/

If anyone want to find this story in the Bible it's.. 1 Kings 3:18-28 NIV 18. The third day after my child was born, this woman also had a baby. We were alone; there was no one in the house but the two of us 19. "During the night this woman's son died because she lay on him. 20. So she got up in the middle of the night and took my son from my side while I your servant was asleep. She put him by her breast and put her dead son by my breast. 21. The next morning, I got up to nurse my son--and he was dead! But when I looked at him closely in the morning light, I saw that it wasn't the son I had borne." 22. The other woman said, "No! The living one is my son; the dead one is yours." But the first one insisted, "No! The dead one is yours; the living one is mine." And so they argued before the king. 23. The king said, "This one says, 'My son is alive and your son is dead,' while that one says, 'No! Your son is dead and mine is alive.'" 24. Then the king said, "Bring me a sword." So they brought a sword for the king. 25. He then gave an order: "Cut the living child in two and give half to one and half to the other." 26. The woman whose son was alive was deeply moved out of love for her son and said to the king, "Please, my lord, give her the living baby! Don't kill him!" But the other said, "Neither I nor you shall have him. Cut him in two!" 27. Then the king gave his ruling: "Give the living baby to the first woman. Do not kill him; she is his mother." 28. When all Israel heard the verdict the king had given, they held the king in awe, because they saw that he had wisdom from God to administer justice.
Godly wisdom. Love it and thank you for the upload.

Glory to god ???? this is a stupid story that doesn't make a lick of sense, How are you praising god for this stupidity couldn't the woman who had stolen the child, just as easily faked caring about the child given that she wanted to keep the child. How is solomon being wise by saying, cut the infant in half When the woman said, we , 2 were in the house we both gave birth and no one saw it Now given that one of them or both of them is potentially a liar WHY DOES SOLOMON NOT QUESTION THE STORY ? How weird is it that not 1 person was there when 2 women were giving birth, doesn't that strike you strange so.. we are still sticking to ... Solomon is wise, are we ? Yeah.. all glory to god for creating and idiot that thought that cutting a child in half was the solution CLAP CLAP CLAP don't get me wrong I love Yul Brynner but seriously this story is dumb The king and I, Brilliant Westworld... Brilliant this movie.... rubbish Ten commandments - Lot of problems with the movie, but brilliant and Charlton Heston is awesome but this story was just dumb

@Sameoldfitup : True enough, but wrong context for/in the above situation. Solomon did the right thing having the bad, false mother punished according to the law. Later in time, Jesus said what you've quoted in a very different case, and for somewhat different reasons than King Solomon's judgement as seen and heard in the video-clip above.

Which is the english version of his name . In hebrew there is no letter J. In fact look up the tetragrammaton. No one knows the true name. Only interpretations. God bless 👋❤
@D_Marrenalv4 жыл бұрын
@@VICKTOREZNOV: Exactly, the english use of "J" was based on the german "J" (but not its pronunciation) which, in turn, was/is pronounced like the hebrew "Y". And no one today, not even native hebrew-speakers, knows the exact or original pronunciation of God's name (YHWH), but "Jehovah" is the most accepted english pronunciation, but also "Yahweh".
@charlesjirkovsky144 жыл бұрын
D Marrenal Jehovah comes from a very old misunderstanding of Hebrew. Many Jews say “Adonai” in place of יהוה which means “Lord.” The Masoretic Hebrew vowels that led people to the “Jehovah” pronunciation are actually the vowels of Adonai superimposed upon יהוה as a reminder to say Adonai instead of uttering His name. Early translators didn’t understand this and started writing Jehovah. Unfortunately, it stuck.
@Gonegonegonee4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for telling us this fact!
@D_Marrenalv4 жыл бұрын
@@charlesjirkovsky14: Yes, I've read that also. I have a feeling the original pronunciation was something like "Yahuwah" or "Yahuweh", but who knows. Perhaps the ancient hebrews also pronounced the "w" like a "v", like the germans do, so God's name may have been something like "Yahuvah" or "Yahuveh"..but, again, who knows. The key point is that the Almighty has a personal name, to understand that it has meaning, and to not refrain from using it (respectfully, of course). And I'm glad this film mentioned it.
