It's mentioned in the manga that Merry actually designed the ship, so that's why it's called the Going Merry. Of course with all the merry men (& women) on board, it's very fitting.

They're weaving all the storylines into each other expertly. It keeps it fresh even for people who've seen the anime. And it keeps the story more cohesive, which was severely lacking in the East Blue Saga.

Sham and buchi are demonstrated as idiots the entire episode. 1. Buchi attacking usop at the garden while they are undercover villains. 2. Buchi almost took a try of the poison 3. They are preparing dirty glasses and noticed by kuro 4. They obviously tried to hide Merry's body as Kuro asked to get rid the bodies "no traces this time" because merry is obviously not hidden the best way possible at the basement. 5. They thought Zoro is dead just by hitting him behind his head without checking if he is still breathing 6. They dump them in a well with Zoro's weapon Hilarious 😂😂😂

6:42 when you said that wasn't a bet I think you forgot that Luffy wasn't planning on stealing a ship! He says it at 4:11 in this video. IMO the bet was Luffy conceding to Nami's plan after trying it his way first. If they didn't make the bet, Luffy might've played the long game and tried to get a ship honorably (maybe by working for income) had they not managed to secure a deal with Kaya.

@@SoloRaiju When I watched the show I always thought that Arlong was a warlord for some reason, I now found out that he wasn't, but either way I saw Arlong and his crew as a lot stronger than Buggy's, so it kinda made sense that one of his main hench men was stronger than buggy imo.
