Solutions to the Global Plastic Waste Crisis using Location Intelligence

The world is experiencing a plastic pollution crisis yet the fate of most discarded plastic products and packaging is unknown. Plastic waste has inherent and unrealized value as a raw material yet only a small percentage of it gets recycled - even after being placed in the recycle bin. We’ll share how the Esri platform powers the world’s first tracking and accounting system for plastic waste and its conversion into a valued resource using ArcGIS and Survey123 and describe the advantages of custom database views to provide focused datasets for use in maps, apps and client-facing dashboards.
