Solvang is so fun! Love the food. We typically go around Christmas time every year. My Danish ancestors would be proud. 😂

We will be going back for Mom's Dec. birthday. She wants to go on light light tour on the trolley! It's such a cool place.

Two things I love about Solvang: They filmed Sideways there and back in the 80s, when I was in high school, I bought a real Spanish-made morning star from a knife shop there. I couldn't believe they sold it to me.

They have the filming locations marked everywhere too! I'm not sure what that type of knife looks like but I do know that many don't have any idea that there are antique stores there with wonderful finds. We found a diamond engagement ring from the 40's for a fraction of what it was worth! Always worth a look!

@@travelingcatphotos It's a medieval weapon. The one with the spiked ball on a chain attached to a wooden handle. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
