Some say people have one calling in life and when they find it they’ll be happy forever. Never mentioned this before, but it's definitely a great thing to see people from the same workplace hang out together privately to do activities like these together, and make it work for so many years. Many times, workplace friendships are frowned upon, and best avoided from my own experience, because bs and drama eventually creeps up.
@MattLaidlaw Жыл бұрын
BS and drama always creep up. My theory is you can never make Every one happy. I’m going to enjoy life and create a fun environment around me. Either you can participate or you can watch me.
@drsparwaga Жыл бұрын
@@MattLaidlaw You can set that standard as a boss and owner of a business. That’s a great thing about it, you gain true freedom, and set your own rules. If you can manage your team in a way where the bs doesn’t gain the upperhand and you use your iron fist at times to make sure it doesn’t, well done.

Greetings from Denmark, the town of Solvang (roughly translates to "Sunnyvale") is a bit of a kitchy throwback as only few places in the old country resembles the architectural style applied in Solvang. Perhaps a bit of a Disneyfied American interpretation that is more prevalent in Germany. Some of the tat stuff in the souvenir shop is actually German / Dutch and considered very foreign for native Danes.

Love the ride and that museum is a must see when you’re in Santa Barbara county. Need to get to Anamosa, Iowa before they close the National Motorcycle Museum in September for good. Matt, I LOVE your videos. Each one keeps getting better. And your music choices are great! I love acoustic music (country, bluegrass, roots, Celtic…) but I personally would never put a lone Celtic violin track on a motorcycle video, but you did…and it’s great! We play loud music when we’re on our bikes to hear it, but at home in the silence of my living room it’s great to leave behind the cliche sound track and explore the space. Keep it up! And your crew is a great group of guys. No one has an agenda except one unified agenda: ride, laugh, eat, return to do it again.

Hey Matt I rode up to Cold Springs Cavern summer of 2022 with a group of guys. Man that narrow road right next to the restaurant is hazzardous. As I was slowing down on my 2015 road glide to prepare to make that left turn into the that dirt lot, my bike began to lean to the right and then it fell to the right, tossing me off and into that ditch. It was a steep decline. Fortunately a fench that I rolled into prevented me from tumbling down thirty feet or so. I could have gotten badly injured if not for that fence. A waitress relunctly confessed that because of the slant in that road someone falls in that same spot at least once a month. So be careful when slowing to make that left then into dirt lot. Stay in the center of the road.

Good to know. Yea, the dirt lot itself is very uneven. Gotta be careful. Thanks for the comment.
