That happened to my PC after an important and heavy update, it was updated, and after rebooting it was noticed that it was slower than normal, and little by little it was getting slower and slower, until there came a point where no it could be used for how slow it was, and after a couple of days since it was updated, when turned on, this problem appeared, check the BIOS and always detect the hard drive, and when I insert the installation disk, it also loads very slowly and sometimes it detects the hard disk and sometimes not, I will try to do this and if it does not work, I will try to format when the installation disk detects the hard disk.

I solved this problem by spraying my hard disk controller PCB with air. I had installed the hard disk upside down, and dust had settled on the PCB. Air has done the job.

Don´t know...bought a new pc last week. Everything went fine, until one day...same error. But just when i switch the unit off. Then i press ctrl+alt+del, and need to press F12 before BIOS windows prompt, to solve the problem and start the OS. When i restart, no error at all. No way to load an .ISO by USB and i don´t know why...if i have BIOS or UEFI or both. Anyway, i kept the button "shift" pressed and restart. I entered in the option, than in the shell cmd prompt. First command (fixboot) "access denied" but the other 2 went fine. The disk made a self-check block (for errors) and now, apparentely, i fix the problem. Thanks!
