mine appeared none on previous versions since I exited the file many times and I tried pasting other unsaved documents there too if that is my original document but it happened to be not my document and the ending was my previous file appeared none.

Please help because it didn't work for me. I used Recuva but when following your instructions I opened the file, it opened in Word but with .temp extension so all the letters and pics in the document are just shown as numerous little squares - how come and what could have I gotten wrong? Can it be because by me it was not the case that after some changes I wanted to recover wrongly saved file but what I did, I saved another Word document with the new title of the document I want to recover, which means that it was overwritten. How can I recover it now? Please, pleas, help. I am not the only one with the same problem, as I saw in the comment of Leila, but no one helped her, so fingers crossed someone helps me/us now

In the event that all options don't work which was the case when I tried, go to the file location in Windows, and right-click on version history which is located below the share tab (this is different to version history within the properties tab). If you are on One Drive, the previous versions must show up; using the methods in the video above, the previous versions on One Drive do not show up for some reason.

Hi I have a word document overwritten in a pen drive. Complete word assignment was overwritten when i attached a jpeg screenshot (which i snipped tool and pasted). Recovering file was the last option (as far as I know). The chances of recovering gets smaller with every new data written. If the temp file gets over written then it's very difficult to get it.

Yes, it happens. Previous version option is available only when it is enabled. You can use file recovery method.

Hi It would be great if u can help me. I had created a file called "What To Watch On Netflix". Every now and then I would go on to it to add a movie or so to watch in the future. It wasn't saved anymore i'm pretty sure, it was just in the "recent" files. And if i couldn't find it in the recent files i just clicked "More documents" and immediately found it. Today i opened it and guess what. IT WASN'T THERE!. I was devastated since there were a lot of movies I had listed on it. I tried recovery, recycling bin. It just wasn't there. Now i'm thinking it was because of a recent update i did today, but the thing is, out of every single file I have on recent, that one was to go.
