Dunno if this is any help, but the singer sounds a lot like Jack Sheldon (who sang I'm just a bill from Schoolhouse rock!) However, there are a few little differences that make me not as comfortable with saying confidently that it's him, but I think it's worth checking out (it sounds jazzy enough to be him, he is a jazz singer). The way he says "Oh yeah" makes it sound like him.

i think that the song talk about the life of a homeless person "Johnny", so i think he hasn't got a penny or a mark, or a road to follow, cuz he's homeless. In the verse 2, i think he says: "Johnny in the middle of a dream, papers in his pocket... Johnny is a rocket" "Johnny had a little dream, that things are not as bad as they say, or there's something blowing in the air" that's my interpretation, and maybe the name of the song is related to things like "One Man Show", or a title related to homeless lifestyle
