SOLVED: Sketchfab Plugin Import for Unreal Engine Not Saving the Materials or Textures After Restart

Hopefully you have found this video if you were as frustrated as I was last week about the Sketchfab plugin Material and Texture issue error after restarting. Essentially what happens is the Texture image files are saved inside of a ZIP folder inside of a hidden folder deep into your User Account on Windows 10. My goal is to have explained this in the first 9 minutes of this video and then go over the technical details after. If you go to the texture files after importing using the sketchfab plugin you will see the path to the ZIP folder.
The texture image files are saved inside of a ZIP folder deep inside of your user account in a hidden folder. You can find the path by hovering and seeing the SOURCE FILE path. So before restarting you need to go to the ZIP folder, extract it, then copy the Texture image files to the same folder as the 3D model itself inside the Unreal Engine Project. If that doesn't make sense hopefully the video explains it better. I hope that works and makes sense.
The Sketchfab Models are truly beautiful through this plugin import method.
Any advice or questions are always appreciated and encourage me to do more videos if it helps you out. If not be sure to troll me and hurt my feelings. A single joy dispels a hundred cares according to Confucius so lets stay funny through it all.
(Hopefully SOLVED. If not let me know what issues you are having and I might be able to figure it out. I'll work on improving the audio here. Seems to be a slight buzz interference sound.)

Really appreciate the kind words as it's been awhile since I've made a video. This was a pretty tricky one to figure out so I felt the need to try and explain it for others. Glad it worked and I should do an update on the alternative import method as well.

That's great to hear. It's somewhat simple yet hard to figure out so I felt there was a need to make this video. Sounds like something called FAB will fix this in the future maybe. Also there's an .STL import option I've tried. I'm going off memory so I might be wrong. This Plugin is pretty awesome though except for this issue. Cheers.

THAnK YoU VERY MUCH! I was not able to load the textures in my OCULUS app, and this was the reason.

The highest praise I've ever received on KZbin ever. Thank you. There's also someone with an updated comment on the Github that has another way of removing the source on each texture, I haven't looked into it yet.

@@printedmarble6985 I looked into the comment and would still say that this process in the video is much faster. The comment explains that you need to open and change the setting on each texture. Thanks again.

@@roblesliemedia depends on the model but for large number textured models 100% this is faster!

It's pretty cool when it works. Apparently importing as a glTF also works which is handy as there is no Plugin for 5.1 yet. Copied from the Unreal Forum: "Sketchfab will provide a newer version but there is no ETA on it yet. In the mean time you can still download glTF manually from Sketchfab and import them with Datasmith glTF importer plugin, but I understand it is tedious as you do not have the library browser and the import will be slightly different."

@@anishnehete I'm not sure how to provide you with a successful outcome more than the information that the video shows. Did you check "Show All Hidden Files" in explorer? It is a challenging step.
