Hello kelv, I viewed your video and followed your instructions, but I'm still having issues. 1 The SoftwareDistribution folder cannot be rename. 2 The second method is likewise ineffective for my Windows Updates stuck issue

To rename software-distribution, you will need to end Windows update service. Because Update service can blocked software distribution folder from deleting or changing.

If you ended the Windows update service and it still doesn't work, open cmd with admin privileges and type Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution (whatever he said in the video without the parentheses here)

I believe that the hard disk has a problem, it happened to me and I was suspicious of the Disk. Whenever I did it with other disks, it didn't show up and the update was faster. Sorry for the English. Brazil

I fixed my problem of Win 11 Upgrade of a desktop stuck at 48% (failed many times) by reducing the RAM from 16GB to 8GB and running the Win 11 upgrade again. That motherboard supports max RAM of 16GB and having 16GB of physical RAM "blocked" the addresses reserved for I/O and cause the freezing. With a laptop that supports max of 8GB RAM (2x4gb), I had to reduce physical RAM to 6GB (or 4GB) for upgrade to work properly. After upgrade, RAM can be returned to 8GB. (I am an IT consultant).
