No dude, It's positive 5. even check on a calculator or google, it's 5. Look. You have -3 = m - 8, so add 8 to each part of the equation so that you cancel the -8 on the right side, and you get your product on the other. -3 = m - 8 -3 + 8 = m - 8 + 8 (cancel those 8s bcs -8 + 8 = 0) -3 + 8 = m (-3 + 8 is the same as 8 - 3) aand you get 5 5 = m.
