Ms lyka mentioned that the price /cost is always 100%..from there I find this formula fast to solve the problem Discount Cost 100 % - Discount sample 100 % - 10 % = 90% (convert to decimal .9) amount * .9 = Discounted Price ----------------------------------------------------- Mark up Cost 100 % + Mark up % sample 100 % + 10 % discount = 110% (convert to decimal 1.1) amount * 1.1 = Mark up Price :)

lol ratio rotation pala tawag dito, ginagawa ko ito nuon pang nasa elementary ako kapag may mga problems na involved ang percentages, at one time binigyan panga ako dati ng zero ng teacher ko kasi hindi daw ako nagfollow sa formula eh wala naman sa instruction na sinabing kailangang gamitin ang formula na nasa book at sinabihan ako na bawal trial and error and papano ko daw nakuha yung sagot eh hindi daw nga ako nagfollow sa formula, hahahahahaha nakakainis diba?

hi mam lyka, I'm one of ur subscriber and I really learned a lot from all ur videos. but I just have one clarification here in ur videos about the last question. the 25% of 3000 is 750. then the original price is 2250. I hope I'm right. because the the 20% is 600 plus the the 5% is 150. then 3000 minus the total of it is 2250. 2400 is only 20% of 3000. I'm used to calculating discounts cos I was onced a cashier and a saleslady, our store were continuously having sales and promotions :)

This probably super late but you have to get the 25% of the original price, not the new price. 25% ng original price which is 2400 ay 600 tsaka in-add which resulted to 3000 (125%). Ang nasa problem po kasi ay 25% more than the original price.

The concept of ratio rotation is just the property of a proportion. Given that a:b=c:d, can be written as a/b =c/d. Using one of the property of proportion, a/b =c/d can create many forms like d/b=c/a which is also true. Example, 4/3=x/15. We can rewrite that one as 15/3= x/4. Simplifying 15/3=5 then cross multiply it to 4, x=20.
