You should definitely use the curve tool to make better arches and smoother bridges, it's basically the same as using cheat codes for like 80% of the levels Edit: and much more effective and easy to build ramps

I can tell you from personal experience that that is not how it works. That kind of engineering needs A LOT more than good designing skills. Physics, advanced math and many other possible subjects you are basicaly forced to pass to get that degree and they are not easy to study. The experience comes from the same logic I had in highschool, like the one you have there, and wanted to join a electronic engineering university. Not as easy as i expected, at all.

remember that you could use split joints to get a connection MADE, when for example you lower one side of a bridge, make a split joint on one of the two connecting points. this makes alot of bridges way more stable

just a tip if you want things to contract more in a small space make a diamond shape with hydrolics with wood another hydrolic running through horizontally and make the middle one expand and the others contract

You can add an connection point to the bridge, so after the hydraulic they connect and are a lot more stable :)

Play Rune Factory! Farming, mining, dungeon crawling, levels for just about everything including silly stuff like sleeping. several weapon classes, and ridiculous weapon upgrade system. Plus you have more than a hundred ways to make tons of money!

At 3:55 you know you can tell it that the tip of the bridge is a split hinge, then when it lowers it will connect to the split hinge on the end of the single road
