I knew the Intersection, Complement, Union and Venn Diagrams, but when she gave us a problem solving type, I didn't understand at all.. I searched for reference books but they gave a vague solution. yea that one is a bit confusing. If you use the Non-mutually exclusive formula it makes sense Math (85) plus English (70) minus the intersection of the two (50) leaves you with 105 so he's right but only when the formula is used if not for that I'd think the ans is 50.
