Great video. I graduated highschool a few years ago, but i never did good at trig. One of those things they just ignore and then you move on. And just like that, in a few minute video, i have a far greater understanding of this. Thank you. You must be a good teacher

@sawdamacalin8073 жыл бұрын
Cos is + in quadrant 1 and 4 so to find quadrant 4 u have to subtract 360 from the angle u have And first u have to learn reference angles that would help u alot

Why would the 217 not be negative if it is in the 3rd quadrant?
@BrandonGrasley4 жыл бұрын
The angle in Standard Position in the third quadrant is positive (37° past 180°). The *sine* of the angle is negative because it's in the third quadrant, but the angle itself is positive.

@BrandonGrasley4 жыл бұрын
If you have something like csc(x)=3.7 rewrite it as sin(x)=1/3.7 And then solve. All of the secondary functions cans be written as primary functions.

i couldnt understand why you did -180 and 180 in the last question can anyone explain why?
@BrandonGrasley4 жыл бұрын
I was referring to how a calculator's inverse functions work. They don't give answers like 290⁰. Instead, they would give an answer like -70⁰. If you need a solution between 0⁰ and 360⁰ you need to convert the calculator answer into the right interval (generally by adding 360⁰ to the negative angle).

@MrTomyCJ Жыл бұрын
For tan(x), arctan(x) gives you a solution (let's call it X) and then all other solutions are X + n*180º, where n is any integer.
