Nice video, although I expected the complex solution too. Also, you could simplify the final expression: Log2 ((sqrt(5)-1)/2) =Log2 (sqrt(5)-1) - Log2 (2) =Log2 (sqrt(5)-1) - 1

it's just a quadratic equation (2ˣ)² + 2ˣ - 1 = 0 2ˣ = (-1 ± √5)/2 *x = log₂(-1 ± √5) - 1*
