You can actually buffer DP and react to her stopping mid-air after she runs on you. To me the hardest is knowing when to take my turn and not get frametrapped by her canceling her normals into run (especially OD run after st.HP)

As someone who hates almost everything about Kimberly, from her spray can theme, to her dialogue, to her animations (I literally get put on tilt seeing her idle animation and back-walk, only her though 😂), i appreciate this video. Just a general tip to all my beginner players who just got their shit rocked by a Kimberly. Kimberly is a scrub killer, she has a lot of knowledge checks about her and your character, so it's understandable that you struggle against her especially if you're new, don't get discouraged, all her pressure is fake, it's a mixup character's job to annoy you, so don't give them that win condition. You already made the first right step to look up how to counter her with this video, now the mistake would be to think you will remember all this information, no. Actually go to the lab and set recordings with her, and you'll thank yourself later.

All her stuff is fake? And what move in this game has no options vs it? Everyone's stuff is "fake", there's counter play vs everything in the game. She's really good, she has a lot of tools to mix you and skip neutral and use up close when pressuring, she has so many tools you need hundreds of games vs her to even start countering the many options she has and be able to even react correctly. She may be "mid tier" to the top 0.01% of players, but she's top tier vs everyone else. I'm 1700 MR Master, my winrate is atrocious vs her, I even find Bison easier to play against, he's more predictable than her in so many ways even though he's arguably S tier even at pro level. Stop capping and be rational.

After the nerfs, I haven't had many problems against her, I think she's totally fair now, actually maybe they took to hard on her. My impression is that Kimberly's players are having to work really hard to bypass the neutral and get in, so if they succeed that's fine, full credit, can't complain it.

once they get in majority of the cast have invis dp, the fact ALLOT of her tools are stopped by low risk jab is a joke, 90% of her moves reactable once you play against enough kims its not that hard when you build muscle memory, i dstill stand by GUY in sf4 being way better kim only appears better casue its early days as time goes she will be useless in high level play her normals being so short is the real problem in her current state she needs range to her normals
