I solved mine (multiple times) months ago, but only realised the Allen key tool in the bag just now! I managed to use a part of the key to remove the bolt with ease (similar to Titans lock puzzle)!

The hex is screwed much further into the lock on this one. The allen key was absolutely needed here.

@@whatwouldsaido I can't say if he did it on purpose or he got the puzzle with the screw almost removed. Check how deep is the screw is inside the padlock in my video.

I found Loki harder, but I found the DanLock slightly more fun!! Both I solved over a few days, and both had a lot of those ‘aha’ moments!!

Sorry, some puzzles are quite pricey. Take a look at Hanayama puzzles. They are awesome and the price is usually around 15$ per piece.

As somebody who is relatively familiar with the interiors of locks assuming this is handmade the amount of hours that would go into making this without breaking anything I would say $200 would be right at the upper edge of reasonable. Because among other things you need to key the lock in such a way that you can open it when the key is pushing all the pins up as high as they will go, that would have to be custom for each key because no two keys are the same.

They should have hid the tool better, just to be bigger assholes. Maybe put the padlock in a cardboard box, and put the tool layered inside the cardboard walls. That way most people couldn't feel through the cardboard to find the tool.

@@electricheartpony for some of these locks it might be because it seems like quality control isn't exactly up to par and of the logs have the set screw just barely below the surface so you can use the key where you're not supposed to be able to.
