A great combination of stretches. I'll be working on it for a while. Thanks!

So pleased it helped you Drew. I am polishing up my front rack mobility protocol and will drop a video on that soon, that's another one I still need to work on!

Started half-eagle and full-eagle hang. I've been doing overhand dead hang and active hang, and the eagle hand is a game changer. Thanks for making this video!

I used hanging variations for many years: active, passive, single-arm, etc, I did the eagle hang on the rings at the bottom of the muscle up, but the eagle hang on the bar is a real game changer for overhead mobility.

Hi Robert, I’ve been doing calisthenics ( I have a pair of rings I use between gym sessions) and weight lifting related activities at the gym. During lockdown I developed what is commonly referred to as impingement as the movements I was doing particularly on rings…skin the cat, back lever tuck etc were exposing my lack of shoulder mobility. I’ve been doing many drills…I have about 40 drills I can do but I was in pain recently. Although this week I’ve had a small breakthrough with some things. I’m dead hanging throughout the day for short periods as opposed to doing it once a day or something like that. I am therefore doing about 5-10 mins total across the day. This week though, I started doing a hell of lot more soft tissue work and my pecs and back of shoulder along with static stretches. Last night, I had zero pain at all…like a 0-1/10. This morning it was about 1/10 and it had been about 6/10 recently and I think I was over irritating the tendon with certain things I was doing, I have now cut my drills to about 15-20 that just feel are most beneficial. It’s come to my thinking that stretching the bicep is quite important. I do a lot of bicep training and my arms have got quite a lot bigger but I have had tightness down the bicep and small tears in the past. I was doing the butchers block….although it wasn’t one of my main drills. I’m glad you have steered me clear of that, I also have done some eagle hangs tonight and honestly my shoulders feel great. I already do the cobra stretch on the rings and rotate for that lat stretch…anyway I must be doing something better this week, but I am cautious as I feel progress will be measured over a sustained period. But I am hopeful and to be completely asymptomatic this week after about 2 years of issues is something. Thanks for the video, you provided some useful help. I think the shoulder is a complex joint. I want to avoid surgery at all costs as I don’t think it’s the answer unless you have a big partial or complete tear. I’m glad you are much better 👍

Somehow I have stumbled onto this video. And it was amazing! I have had the exact same injury, surgery on my right shoulder, and your description of the shoulder imbalances are identical! Thank you greatly for this! Ill be following this and seeing it it helps me. Ill comment with some updates on the process.

Thanks for the comment. Do you mean you can't hear the audio even with it turned up? It sounds okay to me I wonder if others are having the same issue.

@@RobertManlove it's way lower than every other video in my playlist. I have to pump the volume. Close miking and a compressor.
