Another good tip as soon as you can get to akila city. Do the mission there until you get Emma wilcox dobthe mission but dont talk to daniel blake. Or you will lose her . Emma wilcox doesnt care if you kill people she will actually help you do it. . Unfortunately she cant carry anything.

So basically the game will gift you a bounty for no other reason then a quest that you can actually start a different way by joint the opposite faction right away but at the same time breaks your game because the player naturally wants to run away from the law instead of giving up.

The first time you get arrested is fine, but I'm sick of having to deal with it all the time. I like to kill things and just had to deal with a 30k bounty

Ok so after you sleep for 3 days, how do I get to a terminal? As soon as I fly back to the system, I'm being scanned again and can't land on the planet until after the scan... So the cycle continues

That means you still have the contraband. You need to sell it first, I learned that too now. You can it by jumping into neutral systems and hail a trader from the Trade Authority to sell your contraband.

This is the first unique video I’ve seen with this information. And although I haven’t tried it yet. (I’ll reply in to my comment with the result.) I think without a doubt this will solve it. Thank you! Edit*: it worked and it works it you have a conflict with any of your crew mates and they “leave your crew” as well.

There IS an actual way to do something about the scans but you have to find it while playing.

I think during Barets rescues mission there is an FC ship being attacked by pirates I must have hit it, cause now FC hunts me down everywhere, I can’t land or jump anywhere they spawn infinitely even in UC space

Thanks man!!! When i came in this time after the scan, they told me Stop, ur a wanted criminal & gave me the option to pay b4 i even landed. They escorted me to the unc & i went on my way. I was just about to quit playing lol. I didn't even do anything in the 1st place lol. I've been doin good at just persuading people instead of fighting so idk. I was just bringing Barrette back to the lodge. I don't think this is something they should just put in the game, w/o telling people what to do, especially knowing new people (like me) who have never played a game from this company is coming in. The average new person isn't goin to know sleep for 3 days so u wont get attacked by a planet ur a vanguard for & haven't broken any laws

I literally got a random bounty somehow, went back a save cause I thought it was cause I accidentally stole something and didn't get caught. Went back and still had a 500 credit bounty. And I can't jump to any system nearby

The guard in Neon says I have a bounty everytime I get scanned but I don't , and every other city scan says I don't , is this a bug or am I missing something ? Every terminal says I'm clear too

Tried this and some other fixes. Didn't work for me but I was running some cheats and did some very naughty things - huge bounty. For extra punishment all the saved slots from when I was playing a Good Boy have gone. No choice but to re-start 🤷‍ Dusty won't start off clueless this time ✔

When the game starts, go into your map and set a jump target into another system. Then put all points into the grav drive (so it's fast) and jump away from the fight. In-system flights do not work.

So you are basically forced to do that at some point in the story. Spoiler I did the mission where I had to get a artifact from a collector space Pirat on a C class ship. I made it through without combat due to skills in speech, but he put my very first bounty on me afterwards I left. That way I was confused as I technically didn’t harm any civil expect that criminal pirate by threatening him and stealing the artifact. They should have made this a little more clear as this will happen even when you have a Legit run. You will get a bounty at some point of the main story when you encounter this articfact quest

The bounty is not gone, but you should not get attacked again (if you are not holding on to contraband).

Good afternoon Captain. I dont know If you have ever played a Title from the "The Elder Scrolls" or the Fallout Series. But what you describe, is an old Mechanic, that works exactly as it should. If you resist the Arrest, you will be attacked, until enough has time passed on, to initiate the "Cool down Phase". Which is usually 24 Hours In-Game Time. As I have not tried anything openly illegal yet (means no witnesses - only some breaking and entering on New Atlantis for multiple Side Quests), I dont know how well that Mechanic is implemented in Starfield. But I agree, that some Mechanics can be better explained for People who are totally new to a Bethesda Title. For Example, very early on, you are supposed to shoot down the Engines of a specific ship to board it. Unless you have that specific skill already unlocked (which is possible at this point), you are unable to follow the instructions to detail. That stupid Auto-Targeting always shoots at the middle of the Ship. Anyway, the solution was: Ignore what that Person tells you and shoot the ship down to zero health - it will magically survive and you can board it. Some things are really badly explained in Bethesda Games. No matter if you are a "Bethesda-Game-Mechanics-Professional" or completely new. Sadly, still one of the ( for me Minor) Flaws even 20 years later. But also usually not a Problem for most of the Mechanics because it is Part of how Bethesda explains the World to Players. For example, by literally interacting with the World, doing Side Quests etc. That is what I also love about Bethesda Titles. "Damned if you do, damned if you dont" as the saying goes. Not being able to pay your Bounty at the Bounty Terminal: I agree, you should be able to do so. No matter if you are a Citizen of whatever Faction has you on their Naugthy-List. But then again, the wording of the Text makes it sound, only Faction Members are able to pay at the Terminal for immersion reasons. So IMHO, this could be a part of Roleplaying - even if it is a small one. Immediate Cargo Scanning: Yeah it sounds like it would better if it works like in the X Series. But again: Only tried "On-Planet" wannabe-smuggling so far (Side Quest) so maybe there is a good Explanation in the Lore for it to make sense. I mean, trying to get to some Sectors in Sol in X4 gets you in Trouble immediately. And the Pirates in Starfield gaining Traction and the Peace between the other Factions is uneasy. So yeah makes sense but it also can get annoying quickly, if implemented badly. Have a great Day and always Crash Free Travel among the Stars! #StaySafeStayHealthyEveryone :)

This game is so broken! I have more than 100k bounties on my head and can't enter any planet anymore! Also it makes no sense if you want wo play as a pirate! I mean I won't go to jail voluntarily! Why should I? That makes no sense!

Just go to space lock on to the ships and turn your self in pay no money spend a week in jail and move on with the game

It doesn't work because you can't even Land once you've been scanned with contraband. I can't even get on the ground in new Atlantis or anywhere with a place to clear bounty. Somehow you magically appeared on the ground in New atlantis after being scanned with contraband.
