I have to say that I had very good instructors in my therapeutic massage course, but I found yours videos and I am applying them, I no longer get fatigued and when I did my practical interview, the person I gave the massage to told me that it seemed that I had been giving massages for a long time.Thank you for these magnificent videos

I have watched all of your videos, they are very thorough and awesome. I just finished a massage program here in Los Angeles and I truly wish I could go to Soma, I would do it all over again so you could be my instructor. You are inspirational and make a massage an exquisite art. You are a healer, Rob.

I'm about to start school and if my instruction isn't this good, your videos will surely help me become the best I can be. Your tips on your own balance and body weight and where the pressure is coming from is so important for self care.

I've been watching your videos and I love the techniques. One of my lumbar disc is thinned and I was glad to see how you educate beginners on movements to reduce stress and protect the back while massaging. Great tutorials.

What exactly is “fascia release”? What happens to fascia, physically? Does it stretch (elongate)? If yes - by how much? I just can’t understand the use of the word “release”. When you release someone or smth from somewhere or smth, it means you let them go/fly away, you don’t hold them anymore. So, when you “release” fascia, do you mean it was holding on to smth and you break that hold and let it go? Honestly, I’ve no idea what massage ppl mean when they say “release”. If fascia was so easy to stretch and “release” by simply stroking and stretching with some pressure, why would people lose their limbs due to acute compartment syndrome? How do you know at all what’s happening to fascia, whether it is changing, and how is it possible to check? And how do you know that there IS a problem with fascia in the first place, why do you need to “release” it?

Fascia release has never been scientifically proven, in fact it's been argued that fascial "release" or "stretching" doesn't actually exist at all. I think what LMT's are implying when they say "release" is a newfound sense of ease/lightness/loosening in the client's body, though many will swear up and down that something is really happening physically. The truth is that there's a lot of misinformation circulating in the massage therapy profession and a lot of LMT's are resistant to admitting that their techniques are not producing results they thought they were for fear of feeling illegitimate.

fascia have to do with adhesions which means a bunch of muscle fibers/tissue mixture of them all bundle and tied together just think of it like a rubber and ball and you reduce/release/prevent them from going to into that timeline
