Narrators simply read a script, if there is a translation error it has nothing to do with the narrator. Also this doc was made in France so was most likely first translated to French and then from French to English, at which point it’s a game of telephone. We don’t know where the translation deviated from what was actually said but consider that the original translation was probably done by a Somaliland local who spoke French as that is much more common than a French person who speaks any African language.

there are some translation errors. the reason is the origin of the this documentary was French. double translation can cause errors from somali to French to English

Chill down girl the documentary was recorded in the early 2000s by a French crew it just got translated 20 years later. I know the translation isn’t 100% accurate but at least someone had the courage to record the history of Somaliland and how far we have come without any foreign intervention. Let’s appreciate the journey our country has been through.

Always amazing documentaries. You would think Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet motor companies would be embarrassed about Toyotas dominance regarding tough trucks, and try to upgrade there trucks. My Toyota truck is 21 years old and has 298,000 miles. I fully expect it to continue to run another 150,000 miles!
