My spouse likes to remind me, every spring, that I am a flower and need to go outside regularly! I hated that our old apartment faced north, so we only got sun through one window in the afternoon. Our house faces north too, but that means the back faces SOUTH and gets all the sun, and I can grow things and putter around, and it is simply the BEST THING EVER. ❤ So I completely approve of moving so you can get more sunshine ☀️

It's so hard to find pet-friendly rentals & I've lfound it so in 3 different states. So I'm thrilled to see you find places that allow you to have 2 large dogs.

I had a pack of rescued dogs for about 13 years, three of them. It was just me and them for a long, long time, and we moved so many times together. I've gradually had to lay them each to rest over the last couple of years, and watching you move with your own little pack made me strangely happy. The moving of furniture while a whoooole dog just sits on it being super helpful brought back so many silly and quiet memories. I'm truly glad you have the two of them along with you for all of these shifts in your life. It changes the way you look back at the years, it's a beautiful thing.

I moved around like crazy and still probably am. But the sunlight thing is seriously a major aspect to me. I always try and have huge windows that gets sun. Right now I am on the 21st floor of a 100 year old building that faces south and has HUGE windows that overlook the whole south of my city. No other tall buildings in this direction. It’s incredible seeing the sun rise and set, even if it can turn into a greenhouse when the curtains are open 😆.

An abundance of natural light truly is so important! My childhood bedroom was very dark (as the one window it had didn’t face the east or the west) and despite going through my “dark and mysterious” phase in that room where I tried to prefer a lack of sunlight, I found myself never spending time there as a result of the lack of light

Don’t worry about moving lots you’re not the only one. I moved 5 times in less than 2 yrs. But finally I found where my heart belongs and I’m now on my 5th lease here. You have to experience a place to know whether it’s the right fit or not.

The harvesting spot in your B roll reminds me so much of a place where I harvested yellow pond lily years ago on Camano Island. It was such a magical day, and an eagle flew over us singing just as we pulled the root from the water. 💚

Dragging the furniture from room to room reminded me of when I was young and lived alone (many years ago) and how much I loved rearranging everything to make things just right. Lovely new space! One idea...try pulling the chairs out of the corners, closer to the couch when you find the right coffee table. It will create a conversation nook so the space feels cozier. You'll also be creating a walkspace behind the chairs rather than in front of them. Then, you can put corner shelves in their place for storage space and plants.

i once fell in love with an apartment building. i ended up living in 3 different apartments on the same floor over the course of about 5 years :) and i feel you on needing *light* i lived in the woods and loved it, but having a house with a southwest exposure, means its never truly dark inside during the day. even on stormy days.

The new place looks wonderful! It's both open and cozy at the same time. When you hear that quiet inner voice say "this feels right", you know you've landed somewhere good. I had to smile when you were putting the leaf extensions into the table. Whenever I do that on my own, I always think "this would be much easier if my arms were eight foot long..."

I get a bit of a different vibe. Yes, she speaks calmly and quietly and moves without rush, but I also get a sense that there's a lot of inner discontent and a bit of chaotic energy at work. I truly hope that the need for constant change and movement isn't a subconscious attempt to alleviate those feelings as that can create some negative life patterns.

Good to see you! As much as I love Washington, I'm finding I prefer Oregon. There's so much green space in between towns and cities. Farms, wildlands, forests and wetlands are just a few short blocks away, no matter where you're at. I find I need that. I lived in Washington for 10 years in the urban sprawl, and really missed the green spaces that you can't find there unless you drive far out of town or go to a park, which doesn't feel the same as a wild forest. Anyway, if you get a weird hankering to move again, check out Oregon! We like to keep it weird here for sure.

Lovely video Annie.. I just got done redoing my living room in a forest theme, and it is so sooo beautiful, and when the sun comes through the windows in the evening, it gives me a sense of peace, Spring is finally here and I couldn't be happier.. The birds are chirping right outside my window, all of my flowers are up, the bushes are budding and the trees have tiny leaves on them, everything has came back to life, is there any other feeling such as this? I don't think so.. Now I just have to get the all clear from my cardiologist that my heart has healed completely and I can get back to being me 🙂Thanks for posting.. Looking forward to the next...
