Thankyou for another delightful video. I sew and knit if I have to 😊. I learned tunisian crochet and now all my relatives have weird tea cosies and hot water bottle covers. I only do it when I’m confined to quarters with a cold or some such so output is limited (thank goodness! My family says 😂). I like splicing, it’s kind of magical the way it works. ❤️

Even a small whisker pole is better than none for wing on wing.

Whisker pile is usually base of the J measurement. If using it for a larger cruising sail it will be longer than the j measurement and closer to the length of the foot of the sail. And adjustable pole is great for cruising so it can be used with multiple sail combinations and wind conditions.

Whisker poles are usually equal to the foot length of the jib/Genoa you want to pole out spinnaker poles are equal to your “J” measurement

Lucky niece, did you teach her to sew as well? My wife never learned to sew so when my daughter wanted to, it fell to me to teach her, luckily I learned when I was young and was able to teacher how to use both a sewing machine and over-locker.
