When bidding on a demo job check it out carefully,I bid on and got the job of demoing the old cinema in our town,didn’t poke any holes in exterior walls or look below the sloped floor,turns out it was a cement block building with a full concrete basement,found out it was originally a warehouse-store built by Russian immigrants,got a break,they let me bury the blocks in the basement and that saved me hauling in a lot of fill.

What's your rule of thumb on the thickness of the loose dirt before you start compacting? Mine's been six inches, but I don't have a compactor. I level the loose out, then pack it with the next full load of fill. (approx 34,000 pounds with the Pete 335 full) Great video! Bubba sure is earning his keep! Thanks Mike & Matt! Lee

As another commentator said your fuel burn doesn't change as you are not altering the R,P.M. The only thing you are changing is where you are putting the hydraulic oil to run the cylinders. I'm sure you could note down your setting on a pad as to each one is in the various modes for reference until Hyundai can grant your request Mike.

You and Matt are certainly a good team, with your guidance and patience he has come a long way. How did Matt find the new set up on the Hyundai?, he didn't appear to be having any problems. Those load times at the end were certainly faster than dumping that concrete, I think you did about 10 soil dumps, in the time you did one concrete dumps. I wonder what the colour of Matt's trousers were after reversing into the pond, but didn't Bubba Bump do well getting out! 💪

Moving ashes with the excavator seems better than using a loader or dozer. (Beats spending 1/2 an hour cleaning out air filters before giving up and finding out how hard it is to find a new air filter nowadays.)

I thought your Hyundai was a bit slower then Chris his Volvo 220, but it is hard to tell with two different machines in different videos. Now you say that it is faster it confirms what I thought in the first place. Those two machines should be competing each other on speed and smoothness, theit both top notch build. It shows faster definitly.

Good Morning DP. I like the idea of presets, they would be sweet but I'm not sure about how much they would change your fuel usage, as long as you have the RPM at the same level my thinking is it shouldn't change any. Remember I am not an expert in this field so my thinking could be way off base, but I try....lol. The pad is coming along nicely though Keep up the good work guys!!

in the past i had a situation similar to this. i backed the truck right to the embankment and the dozer just pushed the dirt straight onto the truck. i think your d4 could have done that until you needed to remove the loading ramp.
