Love it! The mage right now is unknown, even by lore. If it were Ryze, he would've been blue already, and no other mage champion that we know of right now matches this mage's appearance. Super intriguing! You are going to get your mind blown in Ep 3! And I can't wait for the next 3 episodes to come out this Saturday!

I'm still pretty sure it's Ryze. The runes written on his body (or at least his fingers) and the teleportation magic fit Ryze exactly. Ryze might either not be blue in the "Arcane Universe" (we still don't know if the characters from this show will be 100% canon compared to the base skins and written lore in League of Legends) - or something might turn him blue at a later point during Arcane but before the main League of Legends timeline.

Recovering the loot from the river is easier said than done. Aside from the fact it is very polluted, the water current will pull the bag somewhere else before it hits ground. Also the water seems to be very deep. It seems like they would be risking their lives to recover it.

you forgott Singed is also clear in ep 2 (see subtitles) and also Heimerdinger. Also hinted champions (but not really shown) are Twitch (the rat that killed the cat) and throughout the show you will see crows (also seen in the trailer "An open score" when jinx shoots the crow) that are hints to Swain spying on Jinx- another champion. In the lore you can read that he knows a lot about Jinx because he spied on her. These are little easter eggs for gamers since these characters probably won't make an appearance further than that.

Once you are done watching all 3 eps, i recommend you to check out the video "Explaining the story of arcane so far" by MagikarpUsedFly, mostly because he gives some insight on the LoL universe that arent really explained in the show (or not mentioned yet at least) and he is a veteran of the game itself so you know he is a pretty realiable source of info. also he is funny.

Don't think it's a good idea. Magikarp's video is clearly not meant for people, who are not super into League's lore, and he also made some mistakes and misinterpreted few things in that video.
