Some Natives of Churchill

This short documentary zooms in on Churchill, Manitoba, on the western curve of Hudson Bay. The town boomed for a while after it became the railhead seaport for the shipment of Prairie grain. It also changed the way of life of the Native Indian and Inuit population. "Four levels of government," says one, "and the town's biggest industry is the liquor store." In this film, local inhabitants say what they think of the changes and why they decided to stay when others moved on.

Lived in. Churchill from 1956 till 1978 so great to see this video with those that I know Jimmy Spence and his family were the greatest, also Mr Lundy, the Masans and it’s been a few years some I forget their names also Kookum Nellies family was so friendly and friend

19:50 I missed her so much!!! First time to see her. My mom died from TB in 1968....then Christine and I became close then she died in house fire. I cried when I found out back then. I began to cry when I saw her again
