Amazing collection…. is it open to the public? WHERE ARE YOU?
@randyguyer8 ай бұрын
"Open to the public?" Yes and No. Mine is a private collection that I don't have time and resources to have open business hours. However, like most car guys I love to show them to interested people. I'm in a western suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

@@randyguyer Appreciate the response. Thank you. What a stunning collection of very rare Chrysler Corporation products from… what I consider to be the most interesting era of automobiles ever… (and when I grew up) … the 50s and 60s! Looks like the red ‘60 Dodge Dart has Factory Air! If ever in Minneapolis, I will contact you beforehand. Thanks much.

Spectacular cars.Whats the model with the diagonal headlights? Impala needs another grouping of GM's.Looks out of place imo.
@randyguyer7 ай бұрын
The car with the canted headlights is a '61 DeSoto. One of 911 built and this one has every factory option except 2-tone paint.

@@randyguyer That was you doing that burnout in the Fury? Good to drive them occasionally right?What model is the DeSoto with the slanted headlights?Thx for answering
@randyguyer7 ай бұрын
@@jaymartell2967 Yes that was me doing the burn-out. It was the same day that the restoration was completed. In 1961 DeSoto dropped model names. They only made 2-door and 4-door hardtops that were just called DeSoto.

@@randyguyer There are so many questions I have about restoring vintage cars like these but I don't know where to begin ..like where do you find or recreate missing chrome trim pieces or windshields etc. ?
@randyguyer7 ай бұрын
I try to buy cars that have all of their parts. Otherwise I buy extra cars to strip parts off of. Windshields are reproduced, some better than others. I can imagine how many questions you have if you don't have any experience. The bottom line is that restoration takes time and money...both. If you can't afford, or are unwilling to let go of both, then restoration is not for you. My house was cheap compared to just one of my cars.
7 ай бұрын
@@randyguyer Yes I realize the cost of a proper concourse restoration but even then I just cannot understand all the details in finding trim pieces even in junkyards where they are often bent or weathers or not complete and so you probably have to remake some of those items but how is that done.. so many questions for a person like me who is intellectually challenged but I love your cars and how nice they are... and they really use to make cars so beautiful back then
