What an incredible player but also a super, super entertaining and charismatic guy. This was really fun to watch for the game itself and his presentation of it!

Great games!! Great commentary!! We’d love to see you playing again even though we know you’re retired and not as sharp as the younger GM Maurice.

Games that are exciting and forcing in the opening often peter to dull endings, boring games however often explode with complications like this one. The queen moving in circles must have hypnotized the opponent!

How does one calculate that far? Sacrificing a piece scares me because I feel I might blunder the advantage.

best way is play lower elo than you on a shorter time interval when you think you maybe even slightly could ex pos sac just do it. Even if you get destroyed you can practice your recoveries but if you dont get immidately shut down go all out attack dont be afraid to sack 2 even 3 pieces hell even 4 if you see a potential mate. Do not let off the attack see it as a do or die mode. If you fail look where you could have improved and see how far you can draw the game out maybe even draw or win. If you win then you can feel happy and know if a similar position pops up you have done it. Other than that do puzzles but set the range 2000-3000 these tend to be really hard but often have some deep ex sac positions.

We believe champions 🏆 , particularly black champions, should meet together at high-profile sporting events. YOU and Phil Ivey of poker fame should be seen TOGETHER ! Besides, a poker frame of mind could enliven organizational aspects of chess tournaments, and of regular chess play. We know you are busy, but why can't you be seen with Serena (promoting chess for women) and the Formula 1 champion ... / And certain NBA players are big fans of chess --- YOU could certainly give chess a big shoutout if you were SEEN with THEM....
