Wayne Rooney says he is "100 per cent" convinced that some of Manchester United's injured players are fit enough to play, leaving manager Erik ten Hag to "take all the stick" for poor performances.
United had 10 injured players for their 1-0 loss at home to Arsenal on Super Sunday, which leaves them rooted to eighth place, on course for their lowest-ever Premier League finish and running the risk of missing out on European football altogether next season.

I concur with Rooney... Probably he has spoken to some staff in the club. When a team is performing well, every players wants to contribute. The injured heal faster to get game time. When a top team like Man United is struggling, players don't want to be part of the failure; so injuries become a good excuse. That says a lot about the mentality of these players!!!!

Credit to Casemiro. The guy turns up and plays despite the lack of help around him. That goal Olise scored in the game against Palace, his teammates (Erickson, Mainoo) let him down by the jogging instead of the sprinting back to sure up the defensive line. Shame also on the coaches for not instructing those players to get goals identified of the ball. Casemiro has been left exposed a lot by his teammates because at least he is trying to make tackles compare to those who fake trying. Jamie Carragher should apologize to him for his remarks because I think the guy still has fuel left in the tank.

No World Class CB could have sprinted back 40 yards in 4-5 seconds. Not even an elite NFL player. Even at Crystal Palace, he challenged in the midfield while Kobie Mainoo jogged alongside doing nothing. On the 2nd goal he was waiting for Mount because he didn't want to give a corner but MOUNT just stood there. Casemiro has been made into the new scapegoat for tackling while his teammates do nothing and jog. I hope he leaves this pathetic team.

The Women team, under 18s, under 21s are all performing well and winning with the same facility and coaching group. The senior men's team are the only ones doing complete garbage and a lot of them have been doing so for years now under multiple coaches.

To address the lack of dilution for the men's game of which you speak, this is why its the senior men's team. They are playing by the same rules and guidelines of the other teams they face. Some of those other teams have way less resources and facilities than our players, some of those teams that looks like a team collective weekly salary is similar to 1 of our players weekly salary. If your work environment has to be the most perfect you have ever seen or work in to do what you are paid handsomely to do with all the experience and knowledge you have, then maybe I dnt understand self application and accountability.

The 3 players I think can be excluded from this debate that are injured at the moment are Bruno who played with a broken hand until he couldn't anymore, Maguire and Licha who also both played carrying real injuries and have shown their character. Varane and Shaw are chronically injured so their history of injuries can explain their absence. As for the others... Fact of the matter remains that a team being properly trained doesn't rely on a few players to be functional and most of those unavailable at the moment were rarely used when fit.

United's biggest problem is ex players saying whatever they want to say. This is a really serious accusation made here by Rooney without proof. If he or Neville or another ex player wants to help united, they should talk to the board people and ask for an advisory role. United need to suffer, it is part of the process of getting better, now if this suffering is to be under Ten Hag or someone else, they need to decide this quickly and stick to this decision for the next 2 years. I think if Chelsea sticks to Pochettino or vice versa, despite a hard reset, Chelsea might be ready to challenge for title in 15 months time. Perhaps United can do the same and do a soft reset and prepare to suffer the coming season.
