Hey! It's been like three months so I don't know if you still want an answer, but DabiHawks: Origin, let's go. It started off as a crack ship on tumblr, and then everyone lost their mind when they ended up actually interacting. The 'Dabi is a Todoroki' theory + Hawks and his interactions with Endeavor were entertaining, so naturally we got fanart of the two meeting before their actual in-canon meeting, I mean people thought it was hilarious since Hawks could've potentially been roasting Dabi's dad on live television. So he'd be #/smitten and someone coined the name 'hotwings' which soared in popularity. And yes the Hero/Villain ship dynamic does play into this. - To clarify on the other replies, people think they're childhood friends, its another theory, but has not been confirmed. And it's one I personally don't think is true, too many things don't add up. But majority love the possibility and even before the implication that Hawks recognized something Dabi said, and him knowing his real name in return (a secret) people used to create content where they both went to Shiketsu together. (Not possible considering Hawks' history.) But hey not like we knew for sure back then. There is one more juicy little piece of info that leads into some classic writing tropes people find fun to explore in...that kind of situation, this one other scene Horikoshi threw in didn't help matters xD But I'm afraid that would be a spoiler. (If only the anime could've managed to animate the next two and a half chapters....aw, oh well.) To wrap up, there's some interesting connections between Dabi and Hawks in canon, and far too many questions and so much potential for drama. (In fanon anyways, it's hard to tell how canon will go about it. If ever.) Who could resist, especially if Dabi is a Todoroki and with Hawks' admiration towards Endeavor? (A different complicated mess once you learn why.) Fanfic potential for days. I'm not too sure on what to say on their dynamic, okay that's not true I know what I could say, but should I??? Nah, because its out of context enough that I don't know what kind of impression you'll get. It's definitely interesting to read about though :) the tension and entertainment is there, a new kind of situation between hero and villain, in the series so far. Its one of my favorite plot/character tropes in media. There's little of it in the manga, but I've seen enough of their kind of dynamic, well part of what was revealed, in other writings to recognize when a form of exists in the manga. It's enough to say "Oh, I see what's going on here in these interactions." There's a lot underlying ;) and people find that fun. And this is basically all I can recall on Hotwings right now, makes me sound like a shipper doesn't it? I don't ship it, not in the romantic sense, interesting to watch play out though, and whatever is going with them keeps throwing us for a loop haha. It's always fun to try and solve a mystery that changes the game.

Short answer: They're both young, hot, maybe close to the same age, and were shown on screen together and going from crack-ship to 'THEY MET?!' with a meme-worthy ship name + everything with Endeavor and chapter 191 was really all people needed. And they also happen to end up liking ships with tragic connotations, I guess. It's heroes~ villains~ and little birdie surrounded by two fire users, Icarus parallels (visualy, message doesn't fit Hawks) everyone likes to throw around, and knowing their ship will go up in flames~ and could only end in tragedy. But they'll enjoy it anyways until then and then cry over it.
