VP Leni Robredo got fewer votes than presidential frontrunner Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in some of the country’s vote-rich provinces, despite beating him in these areas when they tussled for the vice-presidency in 2016.

What happened was like having a buy 1 get 1 deal when you vote for BBM automatically you'll vote for INDAY DUTERTE and vice versa that's why as you can see on the quick count, both have more than 30M votes. ♥️💚 And during the announcement that it will be a BBM-SARAH tandem most Filipinos had already decided that they would vote for the two. Negative campaigning didn't also help at all. Had INDAY Duterte decide to run presidency at that time maybe VP Leni will have a chance to win the presidential race because the vote of the majority will be divided into two since alot of people wants Sarah to run for presidency. I think those VCM which malfunction wont affect much the margin of votes between the two although those glitches shouldn't happen. By the way I love how this anchor explains the figures😊

problema din yung campaign ni leni bakit si kiko yung kinuha na running mate. he was clearly not a strategic choice because 1.) wala siyang balwarte 2.) wala siyang niche na kanyang macapitalize because he is a straight 58-year old male, and 3.) physically, wala din siyang dating, boring. she could have chosen a young popular politician like vico sotto, a member of a vulnerable group like transwoman geraldine roman, or a politician with a solid balwarte in a place where she has lacking numbers i.e. pacquiao for mindanao. she could even do the noli de castro route and choose a famous celebrity. wala eh. incompetent yung campaign managers at strategists niya.
