Luthiers used to make contrabasses with arched tops and flat backs, and later on the shoulders got shaved down too. The backs on those love to crack. I have one that looks like a shake roof inside, because of all the cleats added over more than a century and a half and some change.

@goodun2974
@goodun2974 Жыл бұрын
@@RockStarOscarStern634 , The acoustic guitars themselves are more likely to feed back than the pickups are, and if the guitar body and strings are oscillating to the sound from the PA or monitors, then the pickup will reproduce it, and there will be feedback. I thought my question would be pretty obvious....
@RockStarOscarStern634

I know the Barkus Berry pickup is more like a piezo pickup than a magnetic pickup. It shouldn’t feedback if you treat it like an acoustic pickup.
@goodun2974
@goodun2974 Жыл бұрын
@@panzerlieb , It seems doubtful that it's a piezo because it would need to be in good solid contact with the guitar top in order to pick up any sound. Strings do not transmit sound magnetically into a piezo pick up.

It's funny you mentioned "glow in the dark" paint for the side dots. Just before you mentioned it I was wondering..."do they make glow in the dark side dot material for guitars?"...So I paused the video, and looked it up, and they sure do make glow in the dark side dot material...Made by a company called "Luminlay". They make several sizes, and it looks white, but comes in glow blue, or glow green.
