How the heck did they film those mirror scenes?? The more action movies I watch, the more I realise they aren't getting enough praise for their inventive camera work. Lots of creative and innovative stuff here!

Hi Chrissie Nice reaction. There are no chapters that are same old same old. All worth the watch. Excommunicado means he has no safe haven and is not entitled to any help. He also has no right to expect safety at the Continental. Winston gave him the hour as a gift from a friend. A bit of a head start. The next one is amazing as well. No spoilers but a new guest star appears and did significant training with Keanu and some of his trainers to prepare for the role. A bit of advice. Don't wait too long to watch Chapter 3 so that you don't forget where this one left off.

It means the Excommunicado status will be in effect after 1 hour. After which, it's Wick-hunting season. Professional courtesy. Target has been declared but unless there is a direct order to kill, no one is allowed to take him down.

I hear ya! My first upload was over 35 minutes but I kept getting copyright flags so unfortunately I had to keep chopping it up. Hopefully with time I can figure out all the loopholes for longer videos ☺️

Fun fact from a fellow Canadian: The opening car chase was filmed in downtown Montreal! And yeah, John gets hit by a lot of cars. One of the few kinds of stunts Keanu didn't do himself.

I'm embarrassed I didn't pick up on it being mtl! When I was there for jfl last summer, they shut down the street of my airbnb for a car scene 😃 I think it was just for a commercial but it was fun to watch from the window!

The one hour at the end was to give him one hour to get to whatever safety he can. It's like playing hide and seek: Winston is closing his eyes and counting to 100 while John goes to hide. Winston has already declared John Wick "excommunicado" which really only means "expelled from membership". There will also be a bounty on John wick's head - Winston didn't do that; the High Table did it after John killed one of their members (Santino). In the first movie, Viggo put a bounty on John and he went to the Continental because it's a safe place. Viggo paid Perkins to violate that safety and she died because of it. Now with a new price on his head, he might want to go to the Continental for safety but his membership was revoked so he has nowhere to go. The Excommunicado is immediate. Winston is delaying the the contract on John Wick for one hour so nobody will try to kill him until the hour expires.

The move he did after reloading other guys gun at museum was to verify it didn't jam when put first bullet In chamber as some of those guns do that. Dhows his knife many weapons and their quirks

Ive subscribed, and i never subscribe on the second video i consume from a reactor. Even when i like and enjoy them. It usually takes 6 or more. But the clip reactions to your reaction just gives it an extra umph for me. Great job!

Correct, too many films show people yanking knives and various things out of their body, never do that. If you're sitting there looking at it you're not dead, stay calm, find professionals; if you pull it out you can bleed out in minutes, can never tell what a blade has severed or damaged inside.

Santino put the 7 million dollar contract on John. Because Santino died, his contract expired. But, because John killed him on continental ground, Winston had to declare him excommunicado. How Winston carries this out is entirely up to him (he alludes to when he told Santino that he doesn't owe him anything because the continental is his domain). This gets addressed in Chapter 3. So, why did Winston put a 1 hour delay and open contract on him instead of taking him out like he did Perkins from 1? This is also clarified in Chapter 3 (to an extent, some of the reasoning needs to be a guess but there are some things he alludes to).

The first one is good but you only get an idea about the world John lives in, the second one shows you more like when he was running and all the phones started ringing, even a mom w/a baby in a stroller got a text, that's how big their world is, and not that many police around

Actually Santino’s contract didn’t expire. Winston tells him before declaring him excommunicado that Santino’s group doubled Santino’s contract on John

Everybody is excited about seeing the pencil and then nobody is excited to see the pencil. Except the for when I saw this in the theater. There was a big cheer after the pencil kills.

I'm actually okay with John killing Santino in The Continental. He really had no other choice. While Santino was in the hotel his group could've still been able to take over New York city. John promised that he would stop the takeover to prevent a war. If Santino took over New York, he might've even tried to take The Continental leaving John no place to hide. If John left the hotel Santino's $7 million contract on John would still be open so John would still be on the run regardless of killing Santino on the grounds or not. His only option was to stop Santino for everyone else's benefit, and he gets the added bonus of securing his revenge on him.
