Hey man might not have been the “best example” but believe me i still learned something. I’m a 19 year old from Massachusetts with nothing but busy public land to hunt. I do a ton of deer and upland hunting but waterfowl is something I’m just sticking my toe in. My family is full of hunters but none of us have ever gotten into waterfowl for some reason. I’m the first generation of duck hunting in my family. Without people like you getting into it would be much harder. Thankyou Bob.

This was just like my day today however, there were no spots available. I usually don’t hunt opening weekends due to crowds, today confirmed it. Appreciate the reality of hunting you share. There’s good days and bad days, but only a limited number of hunting days in a lifetime.

Bobby that was me. Sled was mostly becaus im recovering from a clavical surgery due to wrecking my motorcycle a month ago. I cant put more than 5 pounds on my left shoulder. I was blowing that call because it was my second hunt, im new to waterfowl hunting and i need to practice it. The other reason i pack heavy is becaause its free exercise. Im a military member so I try to turn my hunting days into something both productive for my body and my mind. I ended up leaving with 2 birds so the self punishment was worth it to me 🤣.

@@LuckyandAceOutdoors I’m not sure it’s such a huge sacrifice, he hunts with his clients, and they ultimately pay for the lease. He does the leg work for sure, but I’m not sure I would say it’s a sacrifice.

I’m not the type to generally complain about the seasons and bag limits but dang on. Can we PLEASE PLEASE get rid of these useless October splits almost every state has. Give us one more week in January instead when a lot of us will actually have ducks! Ive always said the system is set so you DONT have success.

I'm surprised you hunt public lands. We have them here in Commiefornia but they are over regulated by DFG and very dangerous. I don't go.. They'll be a set of birds working In and the DFG rolls up to your spot in a car, ruining any chances. Fuck that.
