Baby Jamie is adorable! Love watching your family all these years and seeing how much Ollie and Finn have grown. Love that you all have a beautiful home with property to explore and even your own farm. Brielle is the cutest girl ever and it’s adorable seeing her feed the chickens. She is definitely a farm girl.

If you put cardboard in the planters, it'll keep the weeds from growing into the soil. Also, don't let Luna or Buzz touch the glass. That will hurt.

Hi Missy!! I’m going to be homeschooling my kids starting this upcoming school year! (They have done public school up until now.. they are in 1st and 2nd grade.) Could you do a “day in the life of homeschooling” video? Trying to get an idea on how to schedule homeschool days!!

You can serve the morel in a cream sauce, super tasty. If you want to preserve it, dry it. If you want to use it again, soak it in lukewarm water and squeeze it out again afterwards. I'm really excited to see what you do everything grown in the garden.

Please, please be careful with the Morels. I just heard (yesterday, actually) that a woman died because she ate undercooked/raw ones from a restaurant. The toxin in the mushrooms killed her pretty fast but it was extremely painful, and there wasn't really much they could do for her. So sad, and preventable! 😞

That happened to me too, when I was riding our mower. Only it hit our passenger door window of our van..sigh... and again, when my husband shot a rock through our shed door. Our riding mower is now a mulching mower, so grass and stuff doesn't shoot out the side of the mower. Much better 😁

We are reading a book called “Sounder” right now. It is a bit intense in spots because it is set during a time of hardship and social injustice but opens up great discussion with your children. There is a movie also. We aren’t quite done with the book so we haven’t seen the movie yet.

Dig out the ground under the trampoline and make an in ground one that is much safer and you can still tie it down to prevent it from getting blown around the property.

I'm so glad the rock didn't hit one of the kids. Also, have you thought about digging a 3 foot round hole to put the trampoline in so the kids don't fall off the trampoline. That's what we did and it worked out well.

You can replace just the glass but it would be a whole new piece of glass (both sides) because it’s an insulated unit. Glass is pricey though so you could get a quote and compare to the price of just getting a new door. My husband has a glass business.

Missy. Here's what you need to do: put a trash bag over the side that cracked and tape it on and then CAREFULLY take it off the hinges and lay it with the side that broke face up. Put the door on the sidewalk and have a professional take it away for you. That's what I did when something similar happened to me. My door window was shot with a bb gun. I've since moved but I made sure that house had bullet proof glass on the door and all the windows. That's another thing I suggest you do, is get bullet proof glass so if another rock flies at your door or a window it won't break at least as much. It's pricy but VERY VERY worth it. ❤❤❤❤

There was a man across the street from us, using a mower and he apparently ran over a kong dog toy that was in the tall grass he was cutting. We heard a loud crash! That mower shot the kong toy all the way across the street and broke our wooden rocking chair on our porch! Now we don’t allow kids or dogs outside if anyone is mowing close by. The force could easily injure or worse, a child or anyone!

Morrell mushrooms are the poor man's cavier yummmmm. I have hunted them for years. We slice them in half and soak them in cold water and salt to get rid of the bugs.We beat eggs and a little milk and dip, then coat with flour and salt and pepper. The best is fried in the iron skillet in butter. Morrell mushrooms sell for some big bucks, but we give them away or dehydrate them and cook in the winter. So freaking good 👍
