you are really lucky to have great neighbors and being able to find out who did. i had a similar situation half a year ago. van backed into it, smashed passengers side mirror and left a huge dent on doors. plenty of witnesses, no one written down plates or given any additional details. since then my car had its quarter panel scratched with sand paper and just yesterday i found a bumper kicked in, broken molding and ripped out passengers side fog light, hanging just by the wire. hell of a neighbors i ended up with.

Unfortunately the police said that there's nothing that they can do and no one was around as a witness. Since I'm still in college, the only thing I'm asking for this Christmas is money to go towards it's repair.

I have to be honest, I started to watch your channel just because of the 4C, but now I'll be watching because I've invested myself in the driver as well. Please DO keep us all informed regarding the recuperation of the The Crimson Dame (perhaps some 4C Alficionados can learn from your experience). I think with an auto like that, parked on a public street, there's ALWAYS eyes on it (perks for being beautiful/out of the ordinary). And the police likely respect you, thinking you're mighty wealthy/successful for owning a baby F (perks for maintaining an image of influence). And you're also a nice guy... The car IS wide, but you'd think that people would notice it on account of its beauty, so I suspect the van culprit might have been intoxicated. Interesting to see what a carbon fiber gash looks like. Thank you for showing her wounds. But all's well that ends well :)

Just got my car back from being fixed after being hit 2 months ago, you guessed it buy a van!!! Sam I wouldn't worry too much because getting her back was like stepping into it for the first time all over again. IT WAS AMAZING! (BMW 135i coupé for anyone who is wondering)

I know the pain . . . my old car was hit 3 times by strangers, my new one once, and my father's car 3 times as well. . . all on the same street. That's the problem living right next to the postal office where idiots rush to get there before they close and don't pay attention while parking in a hurry. luckily, all these people were at least honest enough to ask around/wait for the owners so they can pay for what they damaged.

The rear fender should be sprayed alone till they get very close to the car colour & then installed!! Dont let them respray the other parts around the rear quarter to blend the colour in!

I feel you man. I had a car on a 36 months lease. The car was flawless, no scratches.......... Up until the day when I had to hand it back for collection. Car was parked overnight on the street, collection day came..... Voila dented and scratched rear body panel caused by a white van. TYPICAL.

Fibreglass repair is not for the faint of heart. This will likely be an entire panel replacement since the car is still in production. I've seen pictures of someone who repaired the fibreglass bumper of his Testarossa. The amount of work is insane.

Unlucky mate. Had some experiences like that in the past, as my Aunts XC90 a couple of years back got hit and run when parked at a t junction when they were visiting me by a white vehicle, with the rear panel, side doors and wing all severely damaged, and unfortunately there were no witnesses and we didn't even hear it happen. At least the van driver will get what he deserves

I had this problem last year I have a type r ep3 my everything I know it's a Honda but means a lot to me, I finished work went to my car I saw like a scratch and huge dent and someone crashed into me in the staff car park! And the driver ran off after looking at the damage but got his reg and all the evidence was on cctv, took like a month to sort out so frustrating

Oh man, I can't even say I know how you feel, because I don't. I've crashed cars, bikes, etc., had them stolen, dented, on and on...... But, I have never had a "new" beautiful exotic car damaged like this. I would know how you feel is someone did this to my 2013 SRT Viper GTS, but fortunately that hasn't happened, and since it is in my garage for the winter, it's pretty safe. I have had something like this happen to my '08 STi, but it wasn't as severe, and hey, it's a rally car, so I just took some bondo, matching WRB paint, and then put a big Subie swoosh decal over it. Good as new. Definitely not something you do with that car. Hang in there. It's good that you shared this. If you can survive this experience it lets the rest of us know we can do it too. Cheers.

sorry to hear about your car, thankfully there were witnesses! i have cctv outside my house as well as a dashcam in my car as my car has been hit whilst parked by three different people that fled the scene - all had their plates caught on camera and somebody reversed into me in traffic and claimed i rear ended them. dashcam: £150, the look on their face when i pointed it out to them: PRICELESS. i would highly recommend getting a dashcam since some insurance companies offer a discount for people with them
