Saw this movie with my mom a week after it came out. It made me happy movie musicals weren't fully dead. Call me an old soul but I'm 38 and I love this movie and the music. Makes me want to watch the classic movie musicals.

This is the perfect movie for young people - lots of movement, music, quick changes of scene, romance, wild dancing, general over the top wackiness. Perfect for young people. My favorite film is Gone With the Wind. It came out in 1939 and is still considered a great film. A clear story, romance, narrative clarity. I wonder if in 80 years La La Land will still be beloved by the young people of the year 2200! Wait and see....

I completely agree, I remember watching La La Land for the first time, and when that ending happened I cried, because I was used to watching Disney movies where the couples always end up together, and so I was expecting La La Land to be the same, but after watching the movie it instantly became my favorite movie of all time, and to be honest I don’t think that will ever change.
