I get what you're saying, but I think it's worth mentioning that even within committed partners if they have a disagreement and stop speaking even for a short time they feel uncomfortable and upset at the division. It is called being human, not codependent. Just as if you were to hear your mother crying in another room you would be super concerned, even rattled. When we care about people we do experience discomfort sometimes. For people in no contact it also naturally hurts. That is normal human stuff. Being able to forget about someone usually only happens when you don't care very much about them. So I think it becomes unnnatural to say if you think or feel about the person you are in love with you are somehow codependent or causing a delay in a reconciliation. Take good care of yourself, sure, but let's not pathologize human feelings.
