I sense that my comment will be buried among the 95 others, still, I can't refrain from confessing that I wish I was listening to you surrounded by veteran studio musicians. Your KZbin "So Nice" was within eye shot of Diana Krall who equally subdues me into a sultry fog of soothing finesse. Your delivery is effortless- so much so that I find that I watch your mouth barely open and yet your diction and articulation is on target. To me that means that you've found your genre. Very nice.

@kekkuz86 Are you sure about that? Which part? Adele changes the tone in her live performances, singing it much lower than it is on the CD. But if you listen to the last parts of my video, I go back to the CD version (though I go back to her live version one more time towards the end). I personally like the lower tone because going up high doesn't fit the rest of the song. And since Adele changes it during her live performances, maybe she thinks so too.

I just learned about compression which will help with volume situation so I'll be using that more and I had a mix for vocals but it required too much power and overheating my Mbox an laptop (which I'm not told is not good but I don't have another power source at the moment) so I'm using the instrument one that was bundled with my vocal mic. One of these days I'll have a more suitable set up...

Ive never seen anyone use a small diaphragm condenser for vocals, but it turned out great! I just got that mic for christmas, but I asked for the GXL2200, so I wasnt sure what to do with it....until I saw this video haha

Beautiful voice.... Can I ask a question.... What mafe you chooae to record on a small diaphragm/pencil/instrument mic as opposed to large diaphragm condensers like most people use?

superb interpretation, authentic to your unique voice. by the way a couple of advice that i learned along the way in my own recordings: don't use an instrument mic for voice, and always pay attention to volume clipping! amazing voice though, love your jazz stuff Best

If only karaoke companies paid as much attention to pop instrumentals as they did to jazz ones, I'd have more to choose from. Luckily there are musicians who don't mind accompanying me post-production. "Clipping." Now I'll really have to look up this thing you call "clipping," haha.

@misstery25 Sounds you're starting to invest in your gear, awesome. Keep in mind that compression won't solve clipping (you need to take care of that at the source), only your volume control, but you have amazing control of your voice and breath already. I've heard Adele's live performance at the MMAs and I can confidently say yours is much, much better! Subscribed :) Please keep up the jazz though!

Do you use compression? If not, I think you should use it a little to make the louder vocal parts a little softer and the softer vocal parts a little louder. Compression also prevents distortion a little bit. Just a little tip ;-) Beautiful song. Adele is amazing. You covered it very well. You have nice warm voice. Good job!

its clipping.. if you notice the crackling sound when the meter is hitting the red line in your track view.. before you record try to sing through the song watching the peak at your loudest push and keep the peak around half way on the meter.. or use a limiter.
